Re : 24 weeks pregnant after HELLP
<t>HI,<br/> I only made it to 26weeks in my pregnancy, but around 22-23 weeks I started having abdominal pain like you are describing. It was different from what later became the HELLP pain. My docs and other pregnant friends told me it was something called round ligament pain. If you google it, you...

Thanks for all of your support too Delissa. I have really learned so much from your posts and threads. Wish we could have met under different, more cheerful, circumstances. I am always around if you need anything. Best of luck to you in the future.

Re : Gall Stones/Pre-e
<t>HI Linda,<br/> I am sorry to hear you are experiencing these symptoms. I can understand why you are concerned. Have you had a liver function test? My docs also thought I was experiencing Gall bladder problems. One even read an ultrasound and said I had thickened walls and that was the problem. Th...

Re : First Postpartum visit w/ MFM
<t>Wow. 50%+ is so scary. We want another child, but I just don't think I have enough confidence in my new OB yet (last OB is not suitable either). Maybe after another visit with him I will feel better. He did refer me to the MFM for a consult with no reluctance, but I think I would feel better havi...

Re : Thrombophilia panel covered by insurance?
<t>My Hmo covered all my testing, never even got a bill, but I did get a bill for my son's 2.5 month NICU stay for $1.5 million!!!!!!! I kid you not!!!! Don't know why they sent it, I suppose by accident b/c his whole stay only cost me $250. You are right Angie, those NICU bills are shockingly high....

Re : High BP and Adrenal tumor
<t>Hi again Kristen. i just realized we had discussed this on another post of yours a few weeks ago. There are a couple of ladies here who have had a pheo and I didn't realize we had already met so to speak, so sorry for the repetitive spiel. Anyway, I hope I answered some of your questions. Please ...

Re : Labetelol vs. methyldopa
Labetalol helped me more and at a lower dosage. Methyldopa was what they started me on and kept increasing the dose, but eventually switched me to labetalol in the hospital along with nifedipine as needed for really bad spikes. I don't know the difference between these though.

Re : High BP and Adrenal tumor
<t>Hi Kristen,<br/> <br/> I am so sorry for all that you have been through this last year. We found my pheo in an MRI on the day they decided to deliver me at 26weeks. Mine was about 3cm and had been the cause of very high BP. I also had protein and developed full blown HELLP where my liver begin to...

<t>Looking back, I can't believe how many preemie clothes I bought! At the time, we had waited so long to dress him while he was in the nicu, that we went crazy with the clothing once we were allowed to dress him. The nurses were so nice about it, but we would change his clothes as frequently as the...
