Re : My sis has pe :((((

<t>I had my baby at 28 weeks due to severe pre-e so I know how you feel. I hope all goes well for her today at the appointment. It sounds like she will know more today after the ultrasound and another 24 hour urine. I'm surprised her doctor said that pre-e isn't hereditary. My MFM specialist said it...

Re : Overkill?

<t>I agree with the previous posters. All of the above sounds like you are receiving good care to me, with the exception of the MFM specialist not explaining everything to you. PE can progress very quickly so it sounds like they are being very proactive. I am 30 weeks and have been getting NSTs twic...

Re : New here (update now "mild" PE)

<t>I know people who had mild PE for 8-10 weeks. So, it is possible to have it for awhile beore it progresses. With my first pregnancy, I had severe PE at 28 weeks and had my daughter then. She is almost 4 now and is doing great. So if you do go fairly early, it is still possible to have a good outc...

Re : Sent to hospital for Steriod shots

<t>The same thing happened to me last week at my 29 week appointment. They sent me to L&D for bp observation and the steroid shot. I am now home on bedrest and things looked good at my appointment yesterday. I was told the steroid shots are good for one week. I was only able to get one dose in w...

Re : 25 Weeker

<t>My daughter was born at 28 weeks and was only 1 lb. 4 oz. She is now almost 4 and is doing fabulous. Also, I have two friends who both had boys at 24 weeks and are both doing great. They are ages 2 and 3 now and were both just barely over a pound at birth. So there is hope!! I hope your friend an...

Re : Good Doctor

<t>That's great! I have been tremendously fortunate too and my doctors and specialists are so proactive. I have been getting fabulous care and they have done everything that can be done to make sure everything is going well. I actually had a consult and in depth ultrasound with the MFM specialists a...

Re : Pre-eclampsia symptoms at 15 weeks ? too early?

Mine didn't turn into pre-e with this pregnancy yet and I'm 29 weeks. With my first, I had severe pre-e and delivered my daughter at 28 weeks.
