Re : Jealousy
<t>I actually lost my closest friends due to my pregnancy complications/miscarriages. In my case she couldn't understand what I was going through even after I told her that I had PTSD. It took us years to get closer again.<br/> I guess I hadn't given full weight to the fact that being pregnant was v...

Re : Ergo versus Frame carriers (Kelty)
<t>Hi. We have both and use the Ergo all the time, the Kelty-style rarely. But - I think they are intended for different uses: the Ergo is when you carry only the baby, the framed ones if one want to carry other things (e.g. groceries) in addition. My 2.5 year old is still in the Ergo, but definitel...

Re : Overwhelmed and Confused (and New to the Forum)
<t>I am sorry to hear of all your worries. <br/> I am surprised they stopped the NSTs. I started mine around that time (due to preeclampsia), but I would have thought they would do NSTs especially since your baby has a health complication. I suggest you call the OB and ask him about preeclampsia and...

Re : Mary Sleeping with us
There are no rules you know except what your and your DH want. We have a family bed of four (actually two futon matresses next to each other) and it works well for us. Can you talk to your DH and see if you can come up with a plan that works for both of you?

Re : when did your preemie start crawling etc?
I think you should really listen to your instinct.
I think it's not unusual at all to not crawl or sit at 7 or 9 months.
But if you think your child is delayed beyond the normal, you might be right. However, it seems a bit too soon to worry too much.

Re : How much does stress really affect bp/pe?
<t>Hi. Sorry to hear about the stress. To my best knowledge is not clear at all if/how stress contributes to high BP. Have you heard of the "2nd trimester dip"? Especially for chronics, the BP often drops in the 2nd trimester and then rises in the 3rd. That was certainly the case for me. Although it...

Re : HCg in early pregnancy & PE risk ... concerned
<t>Hi Jules. Just wanted to say congratulations to your new pregnancy.<br/> I so understand your anxiety levels. I couldn't do anything for weeks if not months. (My story is very different, but that doesn't matter when it comes to anxiety.) In fact at each US the little guys heartbeat was way to hig...

Re : question: Labelatol
If you have an extended release pill, don't cut it in half.
I think the extended release won't work then and you might get too much medicine too quickly. I think you should ask for a lower dose pill then take more than one if needed. Hope that makes sense.

Re : High Cholesterol & PE
Sorry if I was confusing. I was referring the Framingham records in Massachussetts. Massachussets is on the East Coast, but I mistyped and wrote "West coast". I guess you all know much more about this study than I do.

Re : High Cholesterol & PE
<t>I was told by my doctor that Niacin is mostly reducing Triglycerides rather than Cholesterol, but it opens the cappilaries and thus "flushes the arteries out". <br/> But careful: you have to take a lot of it to work <br/> (I believe 500mg per day) and some people have an allergic (?) reaction to ...
