Re : Labs are in...i need help!***UPDATE at bottom***

<t>I like Patty suggestion about hospital bedrest very much.<br/> <br/> Also you need to consider how a "controlled" induction weights against one more in a emergency context possibly leading to a CS.<br/> <br/> I personally had creeping preeclampsia and pushed them for another week. But that's a de...

Re : Labs are in...i need help!***UPDATE at bottom***

<t>This is a difficult one and nobody can take the decision from you. I think any day more in utero <br/> is better for the baby (assuming they are not compromised) and any day less for your health. <br/> By waiting your risk getting to a severe stage but probably will shorten NICU time. It's up to ...

Re : question for anyone or science chicks!

<t>Okay I am not a resident science chick, but I think it goes that way. <br/> IF you have an underlying condition such as hashimotos thyroid, chronic hypertension or kidney disease, you have an increased risk for PE. However, having PE does not necessarily mean there is an underlying condition. But...

Re : BP - Why does Sport and bedrest lower it?

<t>Thanks Caryn. So sports does in general temporarily raise BP, but lower in on average.<br/> I didn't fully understand this. I am probably an unmasked chronic and am looking for ways to lower<br/> my BP besides medication. I was scared to exercise, but my doctor said it would lower BP. I was surpr...

BP - Why does Sport and bedrest lower it?

I never understood why bed rest lowers your BP compared to a normal lifestyle, but sport lowers it as well. Isn't that counter intuitive? Does it have to do with opening capillaries? Thanks.

<t>Hi Suzie, <br/> <br/> I am a bit surprised. I never heard of the protein being the last stage.<br/> One can have high protein due to an underlying kidney condition and not<br/> related to preeclampsia at all. Protein by itself (even as much as 17000)<br/> is not a reason to deliver as far as I kn...

Re : a little upset and need some support!

<t>I would think that on Medicate they would minimize hospital stays?<br/> Who knows? Do you have a doc who could monitor you as outpatient?<br/> Now, by no means do I think you should do this, but just to give you full infomration - you can leave a hospital after signing a form saying you are leavi...

Re : a little upset and need some support!

<t>Well about the BP - I understand that your BP goes up as you stand up.<br/> I think that's normal. I don't think the bedrest can influence <br/> whether or not your BP goes up given a position, if that makes sense.<br/> I am still learning about BP, but I believe there are studies that say that f...

Re : about attempting a 3rd pregnancy

<t>Hi J, <br/> it's your decision and only your decision if you want to have another baby or not. <br/> It's good that you talk to the doctors to understand your risk. I would ask them how they would<br/> manage your care if you were pregnant again, so that you can pick one you like and <br/> feel c...
