Re : cramps
Now - it is ALWAYS better save than sorry - but I had Braxton-Hicks as early as that in my first pregnancy. They would last for an hour or so and then disappear. I like maribels suggestion to see if they go away when you change position. If in doubt, call your doctor!

Re : raising awareness
Yes, I agree that more information is needed. But - there is a danger, namely that people freak out when they are told about this possibility.
Pregnant friends did get freaked out when they heard my story, but none of them got pre-e. What is the best way to do this?

Re : do I have pre-eclampsia or not?
<t>I think that bedrest cannot stop preeclampsia if you have it. I can lower the proteinurea, but that doesn't mean you get better. <br/> For some, especially chronic hypertensives, it can lower BP, but in general it doesn't. We often get put on bedrestm because the doctors don't <br/> what what els...

Definitely check with your doctor.
Even of you had chicken pox, there is a considerable re-occurrance rate.

Re : What Were Your First Symptoms of P/E or HELLP?
<t>I never had !! any Symptoms at all !! - at least none that I could feel. <br/> For me it was a pure "lab disease". Hi BP, protein, etc. Without the medical system I wouldn't have <br/> known ever and probably wouldn't be alive to tell (BP was 240/140 in my first pregnancy, when I was induced imme...

Re : struggling right now...
I know how it is. I have been there. That's really all I can say.
The one-day-at-a-time philosophy helps some. I wouldn't rule out
meds. In my case renting TV series helped to keep my mind occupied
for a while. Thinking of you.

Re : Superimposed PE
<t>Hi - I never got the impression that "superimposed" is really worse than "normal" PE. Just that it is harder to diagnose. Another issue is that if you have an underlying condition it is more "likely" to get PE again, but doesn't mean it is necessarily more severe. Given that you had it twice, I g...

I had this all my life *until* I got pregnant. Never since.
I think it is hormonal and it did go away while I was on BC.

Re : what do you do for child care now?
<t>This is how it seems to work for us: our older son brings home the bugs from daycare (although we have a strict handwashing routine).<br/> He then give them to me and our infant daughter. She seems to get them - as do I - but very, very lightly. I am breastfeeding and think that might be why her ...

Re : 2 vessel cord (single artery, SUA)
I think that PE which technically happens at implantation is also associated with 2-vessel cords.
So whetever happens right at the beginning will effect both. Don't know mcu abut it, thouigh.
