Chronic Pneumonia Question

<t>Hi ladies. My son was a 27 weeker that weighed 1 pound 12 ounces. He was on a vent/ocillator for a few weeks. Due to that, he has some lung damage. This is his 2nd time with pneumonia in 2 years. Both required a trip to the hospital-one with an overnight stay. Is this going to be a chronic thing?...

Re : Help with a school project

<t>I delivered at 27 6/7. Always wanted to breastfeed but I could not since Luke was on a feeding tube. The pump became my best friend. When Luke was about 35 weeks we tried to breastfeed but he would not latch on. We tried and tried but had no luck. Since he was so little and sick, I had to continu...

Re : Wanting another baby but frightened

<t>Hi there. Your story sounds identical to mine. I developed PE at 25 weeks and delivered a little boy at 28 weeks. He was 1 pound and 12 ounces. We didn't think we was going to live. We were not given much hope. Due to fabulous care and a miracle from above, he just turned 3 and is fabulous! We st...

Re : The plot thickens

Hang in there. Don't give up hope! Set little goals for yourself. Even a 24 weeker has a good chance of survival. I went into the hospital at 25 weeks and was told I was not making it to term. I delivered at 27 6/7 due to PE and my boy is a hyper healthy little boy! Have faith!

Re : Newbie

<t>Lainie-I just realized that you are from MI too. Not sure your area, but the Detroit area has 3 great NICU so not to worry. The hospital I was referring to in my post is located in Royal Oak-not sure if I can mention the specific name, but if you are from the area, you will know what hospital I a...

Re : Newbie

<t>Hi Lainie. My situation was a bit more harsh since I developed PE at 26 weeks and was put in the hospital. I delivered at 27 6/7. My son is now 2 and doing well. I had very little opportunity to do much. I was allowed to use the bathroom and that was it. I had daily NST and ultra-sounds at least ...

Thanks-more questions

<t>Thanks Sonja and Blythe for the quick response. We are TTC on our own until June and then do the Clomid route if it does not go well. Interesting on your 25% number, that is a good figure to ask MFM when I see her in June. From other posts, it seems like every doc has their own theory. There is a...

Support needed

<t>Hi there. I am new to this forum. Actually, I have never even done a chat on-line before. I found your website yesterday after doing more research on those who became pregnant after suffering from severe pre-eclampsia. To make a very long story short, two years ago I became pregnant with my first...
