Re : Baby Aidyn Back in hospital - Growing to hate PE

<t>Glad to hear he's home and doing better! One position that my son nursed well in is the football hold, laying on pillows under my arm. When he was in the cradle hold, tummy to tummy, I kept him warm and snuggly and he'd fall asleep before he finished eating. For the longer nursings when he was wi...

Re : Feeling Like I am Nuts! Am I?

Keep your kick counts through the next few days, and if you have a home BP monitor record those on the log too. If baby is too quiet, best to head in and get checked. Hope you have a restful weekend and can put your legs up and take care of yourself and munchkin.

Re : Baby Aidyn Back in hospital - Growing to hate PE

<t>Is there an IBCLC (board certified lactation consultant) at your hospital? Get them involved in Aidyn's care. I do not know how to do this but there is a way to measure baby before and after breastfeeding to calculate how many oz baby drank at the breast. Maybe La Leche League has a fact sheet on...

Re : Feeling Like I am Nuts! Am I?

<t>Maybe you should switch to the other dr who ordered the weekly 24-hrs. PE is too serious to take lightly. I had a family dr who oversaw my 1st pregnancy and she completely missed the PE diagnosis, which led to my daughter's IUGR, and both PE and IUGR are high risk factors for Sensory Processing D...

Re : Feeling Like I am Nuts! Am I?

<t>Your BPs will likely jump around for awhile before staying high. The vision changes are concerning and indicate that there is cerebral swelling which is impacting your eyes and optic nerve. I had eye issues with both pregnancies. The swelling is also something to watch closely. I know with other ...

Re : High BP and Protein, Please help w/ questions

<t>I went thru similar inconsistencies with my OB when I was pregnant with my son last summer. It went from "you're not making it to 38 wks" to "you're just fine" and back to "things are not the best" but starting at 30 wk I had restrictions and at 34 wks i went on bedrest at home. i was never on me...

Re : Hi, i'm new, looking for support

<t>Thought to share my story briefly - I had PE and IUGR with my daughter in 2005, neither were diagnosed or treated, and she lost 1.5 lbs before birth at 40+2, she weighed 6 lb 1 oz. Though she's mostly healthy, she does have Sensory Processing Disorder which was just diagnosed this summer, the PE ...

<t>Are you using a rented hospital-grade pump or something like Medela Pump In Style Adavanced? You really should use a high-quality double-electric pump. If the pump is used or older, try changing the white membranes if you have Medela (my user manual says change every 3 mos but they get stiff afte...

<t>Get the book "Taking Charge of Your Fertility" or see the website tcoyf.com<br/> <br/> I did Fertility Awareness Method (FAM) before pregnant with my first, between #1 and #2, and when my son was born hubby got the big V. FAM worked for me - even tho I am quite irregular (anywhere from 28 to 65 d...
