Re : Heparin Syringes

<t>I've never taken heparin, but I had to give myself multiple daily injections for my IVF cycle. For my subcutaneous (sp?) injections I used a 3cc 22 guage 1.5" syringe to drawup my meds then replaced the needle with a 27 guage 0.5" needle for the injection. (The needles just twist on/off so changi...

Re : postpartum blood pressure?

<t>For those of you that eventually went off your BP meds, what were your pressures when your DR decided to start weaning you off the meds? My pressures are all over the place. Last week they looked to be improving with all systolics running around 130+/- and diastolics in the 80's w/ one or two in ...

Re : Risk of developing PE again

<t>My OB & MFM said they will test me for underlying blood clotting or immune disorders and if positive, they will likely prescribe baby aspirin and heparin if I'm lucky enough to get pregnant again. However, they didn't mention any possible treatment if all tests are negative for the underlying...

Risk of developing PE again

<t>Does anyone know if the risk of developing PE in a future pregnancy increases even more based on whether PE was diagnosed as “severe” because of fetal indicators rather than the mother’s health? It seems in most of the posts I’ve read...

Chat Room....

Caryn, Rosemary, Fiona-

Sorry for leaving the chat room so abruptly. I'm at the airport and the wireless connection keeps dropping out. I'll have to try again when I have a better connection.

Thanks for all the advice.

postpartum blood pressure?

<t>I developed severe PE at 26 weeks and delivered 5 days later. After delivery my OB prescribed 100mg/2xday of Labatelol. At my followup apt 4 weeks postpartum, my BP was still high so he doubled my dose. It is been 2.5-3 weeks and the additional dose of Labetelol has done nothing to improve my BP....

Question about telling friends...

<t>I've been lurking for several weeks and thought it was time to introduce myself. Six weeks ago I had to deliver my daughter at 26.5 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. Unfortunately her heart was too weak and she passed away 40 minutes after her birth. I've been having a very rough time coping with...

Re : It's been a Year

<t>Kayte, I'm so sorry for the loss of your daughter. Just 6 weeks ago I too lost my daughter at 26.5 weeks due to severe preeclampsia. Please know you are in my thoughts.<br/> <br/> I see you are located in VA. If you don't mind me asking, what part of VA are you in? I live near Richmond. <br/> <br...
