Re : Factor V

Belle, I have it in both genes. I got it from my mom and dad. I also have slightly raised Cardiolipin antibodies. I take a baby asprin daily and will take lovenox again once I get a BFP. Well, actually I wait to see if my pregnancy tests get darker before I start taking lovenox.

Re : Smoking Reduces the Risk of HELLP?

<t>I have been thinking a lot after reading the article and I wonder if that is the only reason that all the women in my family never got HELLP because they all smoked while they were pregnant. My Grandma's, my mom, and my two sisters who have children both smokes while pregnant and I didn't. I quit...

Re : Mixed opinions on asprin

<t>Well, according to my new OB the blood clot formed because of the lovenox. ALL research I have done says he is wrong. He is not an expert in the matter. What I feel happened is that because I was not put on a higher dose the blood clot started to form. For my whole pregnancy I was on 40mg and I g...

Re : Mixed opinions on asprin

<t>That's great that you got such a proactive OB and MFM. Over by me. My OB wouldn't do anything and my MFM wouldn't see me if I didn't have a special Hematologist. When I was pg with Jasper it wasn't the baby asprin that was the problem it was the lovenox; either I wasn't getting enough or I needed...

Jasper's first birthday and Angelversary

<t>Well, I made it through it. His first birthday on March 4th and Angelversary on the 6th. I have to say that the weeks and days leading up to the day was the hardest. I hate the month of March and always will. And if March couldn't get any worse it did. I got my census and had to fill it out witho...

Re : Anyone here deciding to just have one child?

For me it depends on how my next pregnancy goes. If I end up getting sick again then I will have to say one baby here on Earth is enough. *cross fingers, toes, and knock on wood that I don't*

Re : Mixed opinions on asprin

<t>Laura, Have you seen a specialty Hematologist yet? If not I would suggest seeing one that deals with pregnant women and knows a lot about Factor V and all other blood clotting conditions. I'll tell you if it wasn't for mine I could have probably been dead right now. He was the one that did all th...

On the low side of normal platelet count

<t>Hi all, I'm fairly new to these forums. I lost my son Jasper in March of 2009. I have been activly ttc his brother or sister since Sept with no luck. I was just wondering because I'm very nervous about this because my platelet counts are on the lower side of normal and was wondering if anyone els...
