Re : Convinced i'm getting Pre-Eclampsia again!

Caryn, thank you for the HYPITAT link. It backs up my "gut" feeling but boy do my doctors HATE informed patients. Need to gear myself up to be confident, in control and clear on Thursday i.e. don't give in nod and burst into tears if they suggest going to 40 weeks or over!

Phew :) Was feeling really guilty for encouraging you to go to that torturous L&D visit! I think there should be more people skills than academic requirements for med school entry I really really do

Re : Back from L&D update...vent at bottom

<t>You are not a hypochondriac. With your history and a debilitating headache with high bp readings and gastric pain what would you say if it was one of us? You would say get thee to L&D pronto :) At least if you go and get checked over you will not be worried all day tomorrow and can concentrat...

Re : Convinced i'm getting Pre-Eclampsia again!

<t>Brilliant news! I'm hanging on in there at the moment. Really struggling with the methyldopa side effects and very swollen but protein stable and BP holding. They're doing more bloods etc this afternoon. I'm not sure what i want at this stage. I am at 36+3 and feel like I'm just waiting to get si...

Re : Convinced i'm getting Pre-Eclampsia again!

<t>Hello! Saw consultant on Thursday. Two readings of bang on 140/90 and a 155/88 in clinic and protein etc and I had swollen up like a balloon since Tuesday. She put me straight on methyldopa (aldomet) 250mg 4 times a days and I have to have twice weekly bp and bloods. Feeling absolutely wrecked fr...

Re : Convinced i'm getting Pre-Eclampsia again!

<t>klovav<br/> <br/> Glad you feel better :) This forum will help keep you sane and often give a lot of perspective as there are so many people so worse off, early onset etc. They are watching me closely the high readings seem to be spikes and it does come down again which i think is what is confusi...

Re : Convinced i'm getting Pre-Eclampsia again!

<t>jokell for some reason our local hospital now only do urine pcr on spot tests, no 24 hour urines. Which is frustrating because I drink a LOT of water through the day and I'm convinced this "spot" test is no more reliable for me than urine dip sticks. I wonder if this is the policy now throughout ...
