Re : Waiting for preeclampsia
<t>I'm glad Blythe could give you a good link to information about how high BP might affect you and the baby. <br/> <br/> I also think your readings are high, but on the other hand your baseline is very high, too. I was told by a doc I don't need to worry unless my diastolic will be constantly over ...

Re : Vision changes- What did you experience?
<t>I don't know if black floaters are considered a symptom, but I got them after my first PE pregnancy and they have stayed permanently with me ever since. I don't think it's a coincidence they came right after my PE, but I didn't have them while pregnant, nor have they increased in this second preg...

Re : dipstick vs 24 hour urinalysis
Same here. I dip negative with over 400 mg/dl on a 24-hour test currently, and I do drink a lot of fluids.

Re : Borderline? - new member
<t>Welcome to the forums, Gina!<br/> <br/> I agree with the others, you're not overreacting. Medical staff often have the tendency to belittle our symptoms - I guess they see it from a different point of view. They often won't consider BP readings they're not taking themselves as "real", which is fr...

Re : Back from doc's office
Congrats on a good BP number! Meds can kick in quickly, and your pressures can also be labile and change even that much. It would be good if you could monitor them regularly now to see how the meds are working.

Re : UPDATE: silver spots/ floaters
<r>Hello Linda,<br/> <br/> I think you should definitely mention that to your doc. Spots or flashing lights are a symptom, I think, but I don't have personal experience as I haven't had vision disturbances in either PE pregnancies.<br/> <br/> You can read more here: <URL url="http://www.preeclampsia...

Re : back pain-liver?
<t>I've had something similar for a couple of months. I don't know if it's a muscle or a rib - but sometimes the pain seems to increase when I've eaten a lot, so I'm thinking it could be some digestion organ. Pancreas is on the left side, and it, too, is somehow connected to PE - I think I read it c...

Re : Leukocyte activation in PE
So does this mean that the reason my leucocytes have been up in late pregnancy might be "just" because of PE?
