Re : High bp reading...WWYD?

I would take it again and then call in if the diastolic is over 100. Let the doctor decide what's worrisome. I know that my BPs were always highest right when I woke up, and then they would go down within a half an hour.

Re : Hyperreflexia Question

<t>quote:Originally posted by Jency<br/> <br/> Hey. My health care nurse sent me to l&d for hyperreflexes and my head ache. My bp was also creeping up and was instable. I was told that head ache and bad reflexes are not the most concerning symptoms but could signal progression. They also were ab...

Re : just wondering...

<t>I was diagnosed with PIH around 28 weeks with DS. My blood pressure kept rising and I was hospitalized at 32 weeks. My 24-hour urine came back at 6g of protein, and my BPs were around 200/110 (and I suspect there may have been fetal indicators they didn't tell me about), so I delivered at 32w2d.<...

Headaches and floaters long after delivery?

<t>Anyone else experience this?<br/> <br/> I'm not talking about a few weeks. DD is 14.5 months old and the onset of these symptoms was almost 6 weeks prior to delivery.<br/> <br/> I've seen an ophthalmologist (a year ago) who said I had hypertensive retinopathy that would probably go away when my B...

Re : Well I was going home but...

Best of luck!!! I delivered DD at 34 weeks and she did great! She's now the craziest 14.5 month old in the world, LOL, but is still breastfeeding, healthy as a horse, and smart as a whip. :) I hope your labor and delivery go smoothly and you and baby are home ASAP!

Re : I finally know what the deal is...

Is it possible that you are having some other symptoms that the docs are concerned about? Maybe excessive swelling or hyperreflexia?

Re : I finally know what the deal is...

<t>I agree with Glimmer. I don't know that many docs would deliver simply based on protein, especially prior to 37 weeks, and if they are that concerned, I can't imagine why they won't give you the steroid shots.<br/> <br/> I've also never heard of protein being the last stage of preeclampsia. I kno...

Re : a little upset and need some support!

It's possible. I know that when I was admitted, my doc said that unless I was on mag. sulfate, it might be hard to get my insurance to pay for my stay. I didn't have a problem being on mag. because my BP always spiked at night and I was afraid to go home and have a seizure.
