Re : New here with questions****UPDATED AT BOTTOM****

<t>That sounds like what happened to me with DD. I had mild protein but rising BPs and severe headaches and floaters. I had a clean MRI though, so we held out on delivering until my blood pressure became uncontrollable (900mg of Labetalol per day, and bedrest on mag. sulfate, but BPs got to 190/100s...

Re : Lung Maturity Amnio Question

<t>Are your BPs still 140s/70s?<br/> <br/> Honestly, with immature lungs, BPs of 140s/70s and protein in the 500s, I would want to wait until 37 weeks to deliver. Preeclampsia can get bad fast, but that doesn't mean it will. If baby looks good and everything is currently controlled, I personally wou...

Re : When did BP become an issue/change?

<t>My BP was a nice low 90s/50s in my second trimester, and then abruptly went up at 26 weeks. I got to 140s/90s around 30 weeks, and had a diagnostic amount of protein (right around 300mg). I was in and out of the hospital for a few weeks due to severe headaches and visual disturbances, and because...

Interesting...I was told that I have a tilted uterus as well, a few years before getting pregnant.

Re : amniotic fluid help

<t>You can try drinking more fluids, but not peeing isn't a good idea! Fluid levels can fluctuate, and the readings can differ from who is doing the scan. I know mine were around 15 and then dropped to around 9, but they weren't concerned because it was still a normal level and baby was doing fine. ...

Re : Accuracy of office urine tests

I always dipped trace when I had between 288 and 383mg on my 24-hour. I was just well-hydrated.

When I dipped trace with my son for much of my pregnancy, my baseline 24-hour was around 100mg. When my BP started going up, I dipped +4 and had 6g on the 24-hour, and then delivered.

Re : No more children?

<t>We were happy with 2 kids anyway, but having hyperemesis and severe PE with both pregnancies really clinched it for us, and I had my tubes tied with my c-section last year. I've never regretted it for a moment, but I can't say that it was solely PE that made us decide not to want more kids (thoug...
