Re: Med question for pregnant chronics

I am a chronic and experienced arrhythmia early in my second pregnancy. It was very frightening. I felt weak and unwell, went to emergency, had high bp because of the stress, but it went down. Have you talked to your doctor? Mine watched me closely but didn't adjust, then I went into the second sem ...

Re: Bummed about her weight at 18 mos

Hi Iola, I know what you mean! Both my daughters have been really slow weight gainers, and I've always struggled with this. I think there is just something in our mommy-make-up that wants our little ones to have that extra pudginess in case they get sick or we go through a winter of starvation, you ...

PS oh and technically, I do believe that one reading of over 300 indicates PE, even if further readings go down... but I may be wrong...

Re: Is this still pre-e? 24 hour results went down

Hi, I also found this so confusing. In both my pregnancies my protein numbers went slightly down initially and then, unfortunately, way up. My docs also spoke of chronic hypertension uncovered by the pregnancy, and this is what has happened: I am now a chronic. BUT, as I understand it, your protein ...

Dear PE forum mothers, I am a survivor of severe PE and a PE forum reader/poster. Since joining here, I have been deeply touched by the devastating effects of PE and especially the all-too many stories of families who lost their babies to this terrible disease. Rather than stand by, I long to do som...

Re: Is PET in 3rd pregnacy likely after having it in 1st &2n

Hi, My specialist told me after I developed severe PE twice (delivered at 34 weeks in my first and 38 weeks in my second pregnancy) that it was a virtual given that I'd get it again. I would have loved to have more, but decided to do the Essure. I also had two sections, the second traumatic. I also ...

Re: Difference between heart burn and epigastric?

Like so many possible PE symptoms, heart burn is also a very normal and annoying part of a perfectly healthy pregnancy - unfortunately. And usually gets worse as the pregnancy progresses and the little one takes up more room. I had to get relief from safe, over-the-counter meds throughout most of th...

Re: Chronic Hypertension

Hi Jamie, I was so glad to read your recent update that your 24h came back fine! I am a chronic too (since my first PE pregnancy) and was delivered when my bps reached 160s/100s in my second pregnancy - medicated. However, I was 38 weeks by then and had protein of over 1g. (I actually still wish my ...
