NSTs - when did you start?
Backstory of 1st pregnancy - chronic HTN (started pregnancy 140/90), BP started rising ~32 weeks, 165/105 at 35, severely preeclamptic @ 37, at which point I got a bad NST and delivered by emergency CS. No idea when I actually started spilling due to poor monitoring (at 35 weeks, OB told me to come ...

Re: Anyone planning a home birth?
After my 1st I was tempted (horrible hospital experience) but with chronic HTN and a previous CS it's just not a good idea. If I'd stayed in the UK the NHS would have wanted me on consultant care. Nov_mum, I'm guessing you're not in the US--if I were on the NHS again and eligible for midwifery care,...

Re: Anyone on metoprolol?
I've been on it for 2.5 years now (my current internist wants me an on ACE inhibitor long term as I'm prediabetic, but kept me on a beta blocker because I was doing IF treatment) so I'm pretty familiar with it now. I just don't know anyone who's used it in pregnancy. I trust MFM that it's safe enoug...

Anyone on metoprolol?
I'm 18 weeks pregnant and on Toprol XL 150mg. I was on 200mg but they had to lower my dose (not surprising--I was controlled to 115/75 pre-preg, so I didn't have to drop too much to get low.) When I had my preconception consult with MFM, they told me to stay on it--no reason for me to switch. I had ...

Re : Anyone in/around Harrisburg?
Oops! I completely forgot to check back. I have an e-mail address set and permission to send e-mail... Caryn did send me one. If it doesn't go through again, I'll post and edit, I guess!
ETA: Tested and I can send myself one, for what that's worth.

Anyone in/around Harrisburg?
I know we can't discuss doctors and hospitals on the board for liability reasons (I mainly lurk rather than post :) ) but if we do have any local members, I would appreciate any advice/wisdom on the subject, privately of course. I've moved here very recently, so I don't know anyone. Thanks!

Previous PE pregnancy - questions!
<t>This is sort of a pregnancy-after-preeclampsia question, but also a previous-pregnancy one, so I'm not sure where this goes...<br/> <br/> With #1, I was, I think, hypertensive the entire time. My referral letter from my GP notes that my BP was 140/95 (at 6 weeks). Due to an administrative error, ...
