Re: One Of Those Days

In your shoes, I think I'd have had a lot of days like you're having. I don't think there's anything I can say that would be comforting, because you basically said it all in your post... Maybe a virtual hug, some chocolate and a nap will help the feelings pass and get you on to tomorrow which will h...

Re: Sick or just plain crazy?

Migraines seriously confuse the whole PE question, don't they?! I had my worst migraine ever while already hospitalized with PE before Alexander was born. They were ready to deliver (and maybe they were right...) but I insisted they at least try to give me something stronger than my usual meds. They...

Re: Sick or just plain crazy?

As a long-time migraine sufferer, I say you should call that one in. That type of change in symptoms would be the kind of thing they'd want me to report about my regular migraines (even without your history and situation). Sorry :(

Re: Bottles and Pacifiers

Alexander liked Gerber Nuk bottles and pacifiers. He was a fan of the wide bottle/nipples. We tried a lot of different ones because he didn't feed well. These were recommended by the lactation consultant and NICU nurses. Jonathan (was full term) liked standard Gerber nipples, but generally HATED bot...

Re: Delivery!?!

I had a classic c/s at 32 weeks with my first. With my second, I was allowed to plan a c/s for 39 weeks. I was told that if I went into labor or showed signs of impending labor anytime after 36 weeks, they would do the c/s then. I went into early labor right at 38 weeks (technically a few hours befo...

Re: shortness of breath

While it might be "normal", if it were me, I'd see my primary to see if it could be asthma. I saw your city as New York and walking in cold air can trigger asthma and if it is that, you don't want to be uncontrolled during pregnancy. I do have asthma and it was better during pregnancy, but that isn'...

Re: How did you feel as you headed into 1st signs of labor?

I had a classic incision with my first, so I was definitely going to have a c/s with my second. Like you, I was very nervous about going into labor and not knowing the signs or knowing to get to the hospital in time before my scheduled c/s at 39 weeks. For me, I knew the baby had "dropped" (visually...

Re: It's Official- I Worry Too Much!

It's hard not to worry. I started growth scans at 16 or 17 weeks with Jonathan and continued until 34 weeks.
