Re : how many times

Since I had to be on BP meds for about a month after I came home from the hospital, my doc had me check 3 times a day. After I got clearance that it had normalized, I put the moniter back in the box and stored it away in the basement, very happily I might add!!!

Re : Possibility of VBAC after HELLP and c/s

Thanks again ladies for such helpful information. I'm not pregnant right now, but I guess part of me still wishes I had had a vaginal birth.
On the other hand, I have to keep reminding myself that it doesn't matter how the baby gets here, only that he/she is healthy.

Re : Measuring too big!!

Hi Caryn,
My son was exactly seven pounds. I can't imagine how big he would've been if he waited until his due date (1/19/07). By the looks of me everyone guessed that I had a 9 pound baby in me.

By the way you are definitely a wealth of knowledge.
Thanks for the info.

Possibility of VBAC after HELLP and c/s

Does anyone out there no of the possibility of having a VBAC with your next child after having HELLP and a c/s with your 1st? I've heard statistics of people that have had VBAC after c/s, but that wasn't with PE or HELLP. I was just wondering!!

Congrats to you and your family. That must be very hard to leave your baby in the NICU, but I will keep you and baby Finn in my prayers and I hope that you get to take him home soon!!

Re : C Section Question

My son was born via emergency c/s due to HELLP at 36 weeks and 6 days. He was completely fine and it seemed like he cried the minute they took him out and I also received no steroids. Good luck and let us know how it goes!
