Wow...what a week!
<t>I don't even know where to begin. Ethan was reintubated and put back on the ventilator almost 2 weeks ago, not due to his breathing, but due to breakdown of skin and soreness in his nose from the CPAP and nasal canula. A couple of days after he was reintubated he developed a staff infection in hi...

I'm here...
<t>Hi ladies. I've been so busy I haven't been on the computer. Ethan's echo was fine. He has a PFO, not a PDA. They are not worried and said it will fix itself. They said his heart just looks bigger because it is the size of his gestation (31 weeks tomorrow) and he is so small. YEAH!! So the bad ne...

Re : Do they remember?
<t>Rebecca,<br/> I sent you an email, but just saw this and wanted to let you know that I will NEVER forget Israel. Hello...he is Ella's best friend in Heaven and they do everything together. I know this day is bad and no one can say anything to fix that for you...so I just wanted to say I'm thinkin...

Anyone heard of this???
<t>My Ethan (19 days old) had a chest x ray yesterday and they said that his heart was a abnormally shaped. They said it could be the angle of the film or his small size or something else so they are doing an echocardiogram today. I had a quad screen that when pg that showed no chromosomal/genetic d...

I'm so sad....
<t>I never know where to post...so I'm just doing it here. <br/> <br/> Quick update on Ethan. Had a setback today and I'm so worried. He had to be "bagged" (given manual breaths) today because he dropped his heart rate and his oxygen saturation. They checked his belly and lungs and both were okay so...

Re : antidepressants?
<t>Christina,<br/> I finally agreed to Prozac a few weeks after we lost Ella last year and it was the best thing I've ever done. It helped with my anxiety most of all. Of course it didn't take away the pain of my loss but it did help with the way I dealt with it. I was on them from June to September...

Re : Father's Day Gift Ideas??--UPDATE!
<t>Niki, <br/> Father's Day was just a few weeks after we lost Ella last year. I was lucky enough to have one Mother's Day with Ella but Chad didn't get that chance. Chad is a tool kind of guy so I went to Things Remembered and got him a multi-tool and had it engraved with "Daddy" on one side and "L...

Re : question for the mommies
<t>I started developing PE with my first between 24 and 25 weeks and she was born a 27 weeks. With Ethan, my second, I delivered at 28 weeks but never actually developed PE. They said that my quad screen and placenta indicated that I would probably get it again, but still no signs as of 28 weeks whe...

Re : Embarrasing & way too much information
I had to take a Dulcolax stool softener (not laxative) the whole time I was pregnant. Now I take Colace because I too am on iron supplements. Constipation is terrible...I feel for you! Good luck!

Sad news...but Ethan is okay....
<t>Update on Ethan first. He is still doing pretty well. They had to put him back on CPAP today because he was working a little too hard and his CO2 was a little too high. They said they don't look at it like a set back though, just a little extra help. I just really hope he doesn't end up needing t...
