Re : Trista from "Bachelorette" had Pre-E/HELLP

I believe that Marcia Cross (Bree from Desperate Housewives) did publicly talk about having had preeclampsia with her twins. They shot some of Desperate Housewives from her home that season b/c she was on bedrest.

Re : Blood Pressure at Home vs. at Docs

<t>I have severe white coat hypertension - my BP is always higher at the OB's office than anywhere else. This all started after my PE pregnancy, and has lasted 4 years so far. My grandmother has it really badly too. It's a fairly common phenomenon. Take your home cuff into the Dr's office to be sure...

Re : Alexa put back in hospital!--UPDATE 12/12

<t>Addison had jaundice too, but on the 3rd day her levels started going down so we didn't have to treat her. We would have had the same situation though with being readmitted - it makes it so much scarier. With Jacob, we were able to treat him at home. <br/> <br/> Sorry you had to go through all th...

Addison Joy is here!!!

<t>Addison Joy was born on December 2nd at 9:47am - she weighed 7lbs 3oz and was 20 inches long.<br/> <br/> BIRTH STORY:<br/> <br/> At 37 weeks, my BP was slightly elevated (130s/80s), so my Dr. told me to take it easy over Thanksgiving and we'd go ahead and induce Monday night - not taking any chan...

Tomorrow is the day

<t>Tomorrow night I go in for Cytotec to help ripen my cervix (unless of course it's quite dilated when I get there). My Dr. is hoping I won't even need pitocin, but we'll see what happens. <br/> <br/> I will be 37w6d on Tuesday when I should deliver. I have no swelling, no protein, and slightly ele...

Re : 35 week appt

<t>Awesome appointment! Have a great holiday... how are you dealing with the GD and Thanksgiving?<br/> <br/> Since it will just be the 3 of us for Thanksgiving (family is coming next week for the baby!), we're just not doing anything. All the yummy stuff I would want is pretty much off limits b/c it...

Re : BP creeping up 37 weeks - help!

<t>We got everything done this past weekend b/c I wanted to lay low for Thanksgiving anyway. My husband is planning to decorate for Christmas and my son and I will be doing lots of cuddling and watching movies. It's our last weekend as a family of 3!<br/> <br/> I think now my anxiety induced BP is k...

Re : BP creeping up 37 weeks - help!

<t>Well, I got there, showed her my BP log and she immediately started looking at my dates. Then she took my BP herself and it was 146/91. That is actually not that high for me at the doc, but that coupled with the home BPs on the rise as well as my history motivated her to say (with no coaxing from...

BP creeping up 37 weeks - help!

<t>Last night and today my BP has been up into the 120s-130s/80s (or high 70s). I don't think I'm stressed about anything - I think it is just starting to go up as the pregnancy is ending. <br/> <br/> Is it wrong for me to just want it over with already? I just wish my doc would go ahead and induce ...
