Re : Do I need a 2nd opinion?
<t>Ditto - I spoke to several people before deciding to try again - here are their responses:<br/> <br/> OB who delivered my first - this is no reason not to have another - it won't happen again b/c it will be your second child with the same partner<br/> OB #2 - can't guarantee anything, you don't n...

Update
<t>I'm not sure how many (if any) remember me, but I was an avid lurker and often poster until about 8 months ago when I had my beautiful baby girl. I had to stop coming here after researching forever and finally making the decision to have another - once I got through that pregnancy, I had to take ...

Re : What were your outcomes with subsequent pregnanc ?
<t>I am kind of an anomoly b/c my big problems start post partum, but I'll share. Both kids were induced at 38 weeks due to rising BP, and both times my BP skyrocketed after delivery. First time around, it took 16 weeks to get off of meds, and 2nd time was 6 weeks. 2nd time far less scary b/c we wer...

Re : 2 Weeks after Birth--BP still High
<t>It took me 16 weeks with my first to come off the BP meds, and 6 after my 2nd. I didn't take BP meds before or during either pregnancy, just post partum. I'm one of those weird cases that the delivery actually makes my blood pressure worse! <br/> <br/> Just try to rest and be in contact with your...

Re : Pregnant for the 4th time and phobic/obsessed!!!
I have the exact same problem, but no time to write much right now - you can go in and search my old posts and find many of them about white coat hypertension and anxiety. In my case, BP meds nor anxiety meds do anything to change it. It's just high at the Dr. period!

Re : aspirin
I took baby aspirin with my 2nd pregnancy, and did not get PE - I did still get post partum PIH though, which was my biggest problem with my 1st pregnancy too. So, I don't know if it helped me or not.

Re : SSRI Use and Risk of GH
<t>Interesting - I was placed on Zoloft (SSRI) in my 3rd trimester of my 2nd pregnancy due to anxiety. I had slowly creeping BP at the very end, so we induced at 38 weeks. Post partum, I had the exact same problem as with my first - hypertension, pretty severe in fact.<br/> <br/> Who knows what caus...
