Re : No 2nd trimester BP drop and PE risk

<t>In the pregnancy with my daughter, I did not have a 2nd trimester dip, and I got PE at 25/26 weeks, but I was also chronic hypertensive and not medicated prior or during pregnancy. With this pregnancy, I was medicated prior and in good control. I had a great 2nd trimester dip with this pregnancy....

Re : Are you tired?

<t>Oh gosh. . . I so totally am with you!!! I'm approaching the big 3-8 myself in a couple months. I'm tired too and not sleeping good. My 1-year-old isn't sleeping through the night on a regular basis though. Thank goodness for a supportive and very helpful husband!!! I lay awake for a couple hours...

Re : Gastric Bypassers!

<t>The iron thread was mine . . . but I'll comment here as well. I had RNY about four years ago, although mine was considered a "failure." By failure I mean I was diagnosed with an "enlarged stoma". . .my pouch is nonfunctioning. The outlet of the pouch is too large and all the food slides immediate...

Re : Swelling

<t>Whoever you are seeing for your pregnancy would more than likely be happy to check your blood pressure for you in between scheduled visits. It only takes them a minute.<br/> <br/> And Yes, the swelling is very common, even normal pregnancies. <br/> <br/> As for being short of breath yet, even aft...

Re : Your story - Slow onset / Fast onset of PE??

<t>Cheryl and Arc07. . . I'm so very sorry that you both experienced the loss of your children as a result of your early and fast onset of PE. Thanks for sharing your stories with me!<br/> <br/> There is hope for subsequent pregnancies. . . I developed PE last time at 25 weeks, hospitalized, and del...

Re : Anyone ever have an IV iron infusion??

<t>JMACIONP: You doctor is probably correct in not giving you a blood transfusion . . . My doctor said the hemoglobin has to be below 10 and the hematocrit below 30 to do "blood" transfusion.<br/> <br/> What I and WDERSLEY was an actual liquid iron infusion through an IV . . . not a blood transfusio...

Re : Seriously annoyed with resident!!! - UPDATED AGAIN

<t>Yep, Kara, I'm on bedrest for the duration. I can live with bedrest at home, but I think it would have killed me to have been hospitalized and not being able to see Kayce every night. She's still going to daycare and grandma's so I can actually "rest." <br/> <br/> Summer, I live in the remote boo...

Re : beta blocker in third trimester

<t>I too am chronic hypertensive and I am also 31+3 weeks pregnant. I have been on Atenolol through the entire pregnancy. I was explained the risks early in pregnancy, one being the possibility of intrauterine growth restriction, but given I had a small for gestational age baby due to "severe superi...
