Re : Need some advice

<t>I can completely understand your feelings right now. It is very scary to feel like you are the only one concerned about your health. It seems that you are feeling very unsure about your situation. It is important to address any concerns you have with your doctor. I would first point out how high ...

Re : How do you deal with insensitive people?

<t>Your responses are great! Thanks for making me laugh. I do sometimes tend to take the whole thing a little too seriously. I need to start enjoying being pregnant. I suppose it is possible to be on top of my issues and not be too negative at the same time. I haven't quite balanced those two things...

How do you deal with insensitive people?

<t>I am probably oversensitive because I'm hormonal and nervous about this pregnancy but, I want to know how to politely deal with people who are insensitive about my condition. I have told several people lately that I have had high blood pressure during my pregnancy that I have to monitor closely. ...

Re : Girls vs Boys

Thanks for all of the info! We found out we are having another girl. I was relieved because I have heard that girls do better than boys. However, my husband is a little disappointed because he wants a son.

Girls vs Boys

I have heard that pre-term girls tend to do better than pre-term boys. I am just wondering if any of you have any experience in that regard or if there is any actual scientific proof that this is true.

Thanks,

Rachel

Re : feeling off med

After my last pregnancy it took me a while to get feel normal after I came off the medication. My body had adjusted to being on the meds. I was on labetalol. It may just take some time for your body to regulate. However, it would not hurt to put a call in to your doctor just to be safe.

Re : Seems I can't get a bp med to work for very long..

<t>You may need to be patient with your labetalol. It took me about a week before I saw the full effects of the dosage I was taking. Labetalol works slowly to bring down your blood pressure. Depending on how many days you've been taking it, you may not have seen the full effect of the medication yet...

Re : ? about Eclampsia for those who've been there

<t>If I were you, I would request that all of your medical records, including labs, from the hospital and from any physician who cared for you be sent to your doctor. Then I would make an appointment for a consultation with that doctor. Hopefully then the two of you together can figure out what happ...

Re : High Blood Pressure

<t>I would insist on continuing checks of your PIH labs. You may also want to contact your insurance company and get them more involved in managing your care. They can assist you in getting a referral to a specialist and can advise you on what you can do as a patient to receive the care you need. I ...

Re : Is this Postpartum/Post P-E TIA?

<t>I am 17 weeks pregnant and have had two TIAs. Your symptoms sound very similar to what I experienced. I also had numbness in my right arm and felt like I couldn't breathe. My bp during both was in the 180s/110s. Only your doctor can officially diagnose the TIA. As far as preventing them, my under...
