I am so blessed!

<t>After a long hard road my daughter Haley has arrived! She was 33 weeks gestation and weighed a whopping 5 lbs. 7 oz. (pretty good for a 33 weeker) despite the fact that my placenta had been a grade 3 for 6-8 weeks before her birth. I spent 12 weeks on bed rest, had two TIAs, made multiple trips t...

Re : Another BP question

<t>I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "list with time frame" but symptoms of pe can come on at any time during your pregnancy, even very early on. My bp began going up at 13 weeks and I was officially diagnosed with pe at 22 weeks. I had elevated liver enzymes, high bp, and was spilling protein. ...

Re : 24wks and need some encouragement!

I am on medications. I take 400 mg of labetalol 2x a day and I am also on heparin. I hope that the bed rest works as well for you as it has for me.

Re : 24wks and need some encouragement!

<t>Just wanted to give you some hope with my story. I was diagnosed with PE at 22 weeks (high bp, 24 hour protein above 300) and am currently still pregnant at 33 weeks. I have been on bedrest for 11 weeks but my baby is remarkably healthy. She has passed every NST and BPP with flying colors and is ...

Re : Should I get a second opinion?

<t>AST/ALT are liver function tests and do not have to be abnormal for you to have PE. If your 24 hour urine test confirms that you have more than 300 mg/dl of protein in your urine, then you would be considered to be preeclamptic because you have high bp combined with the high protein. I think that...

I don't have any great advice for you. I just wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss. I am glad that you are following through with the peri. I hope all goes well for you tonight and that you will be able to get to the bottom of what happened to you.

Re : People can be so cruel

<t>Wow, its amazing to me that doctors and scientists who have spent years researching and caring for the health of pregnant women haven't figured out the cure for preeclampsia that she so miraculously figured out on her own with no experience or training whatsoever! She obviously has no clue how ig...

Tremors

<t>For the past few weeks I have been experiencing constant tremors (hands shaking, feet twitching, teeth chattering). It has not been severe but it has been constant. Has anyone else experienced this with the PE? I'm not on any new drugs or anything and have not asked my doctor about it yet, though...

Re : Question about Labetalol

Yes, it could be that you need your dosage adjusted. When I started to feel like that after the birth of my 2nd daughter, it was because my bp was too low. Please call your doctor and get your bp checked. Low bp is not good for you either.

Re : Beth update: FRUSTRATED!!!

<t>I was diagnosed with PE at 22 weeks. My bp had been high weeks before my diagnosis but, at 22 weeks I had 24 hour urine of 333 mg/dl, my uric acid was high, liver enzymes were high, and creatinine clearance was high. I was put on bedrest and within a week my labs stabilized to the point where all...
