Re : teething..

I've gotten the tablets at walmart in the vitamin section. They are in a thin white box with purple and pink font I think, they are kind of hard to locate with all the other stuff in large bottles all around. Just ask the pharmacist s/he'll know.

There is so much saliva during that time and the saliva changes to be more acidic to help the gums prepare for breakthrough. <t>You can get a bp monitor and start checking at home. Keep a record of it and if things look abnormal and/or high call your ob. Plus, take the record in with you the next time you see your ob. If she hasn't restricted your activity any, you can self-restrict as needed. Before I was put on bedrest ...

<t>Sean was never a fan of teethers or putting things in his mouth either. When he was getting his molars he did discover that frozen grapes and chopped up ice really helped, but that was it. He got all his teeth from 1st to 1yr molars between 7 and 11mth. His 2y molars came around 18mth and that is...

<t>My niece also had major language delays and was barely speaking at 3yo, sort of the same way you describe. Her parents neglected her problem and gave all sorts of excuses as to why she "can't" speak. She also has speech apraxia due to abnormal brain growth while in utero. About 3ish she started i...

Re : Cholesterol testing during pregnancy

<t>When I was about 2 weeks pregnant and I didn't know it I had my yearly physical with my doc (non ob yearly) and was "found" to have alarmingly high triglicerides. She began talking high cholestoral medications but I found out that if one is breastfeeding it will totally effect triglicerides and m...

Re : When is your child recieving a flu shot?

<t>I think a lot of it has to do with supply deliveries to certain areas. Last year only the very high risk got them early which was mid october because supplies were so late. The rest got theirs in Nov and even Dec. We have never done flu shots because breastfeeding through winter is actually bette...

Re : Breast feeding advice please

<t>If you need to continue to wean I highly recommend bottle feeding with what is called "nursing behaviors". Nursing is all about holding the child, cuddling, gazing, while feeding. You can still do this and bottle feed. There is of course the temptation to bottle prop, however, since feeding is th...
