Re : placenta accreta and high AFP
<t>A friend of my sister who had twins had both. She had pre-e and was put in the hospital on bedrest for a few weeks and then delivered at 33 weeks because of the pre-e and ended up with a hysterectomy during her section because of placenta accreta. She may just have been a rare case too though I h...

Re : What was your BP?
<t>I don't think you are overreacting at all. 160/110 is awful high. The Peri's I saw wanted to start meds when the bottom number got over 100 and my baseline was considerably highter than yours about 130/80's. Is she the only doctor you see or is a practice where you can ask one of the other doctor...

Re : BP Jumping Drastically!
A lot of us, including myself go through this stage where bp goes up and down and jumps around before it goes high to stay. It called the labile stage.

Re : Rise in BP only in am?
It could be due to the timing of your meds. I was getting high reading early in the am in the hospital while I was sleeping and they had to adjust the timing of when I took my meds.

Re : Nausea??
For me it has always been a sign that my pre-e was getting worse. I would definitly mention it to the doctors to see what they think.

Re : New mom of a preemie
Hang in there I know how scary and hard it is ((hugs)). I replied your other thread too. Hopefully she won't need surgery and will heal with just the meds. I am keeping you in my thoughts and prayers.

Re : NEC??
<t>Yes they look for free air on the xrays. No free air is good. If she is not sick enough to be back on the vent that is a good sign too at least that is what they told me. I am surprised they did not tell you immediately. They sat me down and told me right away with Randall but the hospital he was...

Re : NEC??
<t>I would think they would tell you immediately if it were NEC. They did me with Randall. Usually NEC occurs once they are up to full feeds and your little one had just began feedings right? I think Kara is right that you can have a perforation without NEC but I would ask the doctors and nurses to ...
