Re : I'm tired of using the bucket seat...

<r>I'm so sorry you are struggling with her slow growth. It does sound like getting her evaluated would be a good idea. Many kids improve a lot with therapy. Getting new clothes sounds like a good plan - just to give you and her a little boost. Just because they still fit does not meant hat she has ...

Re : DVDs for Little Ones

<t>The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends zero hours of screen time for kids under two. It hinders their development.<br/> <br/> If you want to help a child learn to sit and relax - read to him. On the other hand, he is active because that is how he learns by interacting with his world (not w...

Re : From pPROM to PIH???

<t>First, I would say that yes - your pregnancy has already proven otherwise - PROM, headaches, labile BP and all very early, plus a history of pp-pre. <br/> <br/> Please note that a lot of extra protein can do damage, rather than help you. While bedrest is not seen as preventing this disease - doin...

Re : Life after four months of bedrest.

<t>Congrats for your little. Lengthy bed rest does take some recovery time, as does having a baby. Caring for a newborn is also really draining.<br/> <br/> So take it easy, make small goals for yourself each day, but rest often. The recommendation is to sleep when the baby sleeps. Even if you don't/...

Re : starting to wean from BF

<t>It sounds like you are doing what is best for you - and you need to take care of you to be able to take care of her.<br/> <br/> I'm a little confused about the way you seem to present juice and formula interchangeably. She's still pretty young, and if she's not getting breast milk will need formu...

Re : Less than perfect OB appointment already at 15w5d

<t>Did you tell the OB about the sleep issue? Not sleeping can effect your bp (and your life.) Also, it can be a sign of other issues (thyroid etc.) So the not sleeping itself needs to be addressed.<br/> <br/> I am glad to hear the the OB is running the tests. It sounds like she wants to be on top o...

Re : Books?

I just read Wednesday Sisters. It was really great - surprisingly as I randomly picked it up at Target. It's about 5 women in the 60s who form a friendship around their writing group. It deals a lot with life for women in the 60s and their identity as wives, moms and beyond.

Re : Sleeping issues for a 2 yr old??

<t>She is soooo 2. She is wanting control and bedtime is a place where she can try to asset it. Not funny for the mommy.<br/> <br/> Can you start her bedtime routine earlier? Move the chair into her room, read a book, then dim the lights for her snuggle time, and finish with her in her bed while you...
