Re : Reflections after One Year (long post)

We actually do a bigger celebration for our daughter's "Home Day" than her birthday. We had to wait 10 weeks to take her home with us, so for us it is the 'big' celebration every year. She will soon be 3, and not a day passes when I don't reflect on how far she (and we) have come.

21 week 4 days OB appt update - good one

<t>Hello all,<br/> I moved my appt up since it is supposed to be bad weather here tomorrow in NH. My BP was excellent, everything is measuring perfectly. I have my next appt in 2 weeks, and ultrasound in 3. I will then be seen each week by the OB and have an ultrasound every 3rd week to check on the...

Re : 21 Weeks - Increasing worry, any suggestions?

<t>Thanks a lot folks, your wisdom is appreciated. I have been avoiding celebrating anything related to being pregnant because of the what-ifs. No baby clothes, gear, plans at all. Maybe I should think about changing that. Its true, the 'ambush' of the sickness during the first pregnancy was the wor...

21 Weeks - Increasing worry, any suggestions?

<t>Hello everyone, I lurk on this site from time to time but haven't posted I don't think. Quickly, I'm a 30 year old mom to a wonderful former preemie born at 27 weeks (2 lbs, emergency Csection) due to pre-eclampsia and subsequent placental abruption (no history of either in family, no risk factor...

Re : Preeclampsia with #1, should I go for #2

<t>I think this is such a tough call. Our daughter was born via emergency Csection at 27 weeks, after PE and abruption. She had a life and death struggle for 10 weeks in the NICU and was on O2 at home for several months. For a year I was sure I didn't want to chance it again. But after a year, I met...

Re : Hints for a New Preemie Parent....

<t>I had a 27 week, 2lb baby girl and we were in a level 3 NICU for 10 weeks. My advice:<br/> 1- Speak up. If you spend a lot of time in the NICU, you know as much or more about your child's health than the staff. Be assertive in advocating for your baby. Understand what is happening, ask questions,...
