Re : Sick full-timers ... UGH!

<t>No matter what we do, our kids are going to get colds. It is a part of life. Runny nose? Keep them home? Yeah right. I would never have kids out of the house if that was the case. And I am a mother to a child that if he gets a runny nose he has several times gone into a respiratory distress state...

Re : Goliath... our dog past away

<t>Cindy, I am so sorry about the loss of Goliath. He was so young....just a puppy. Your tribute to him is beautiful. <br/> <br/> You will find it is very hard, and takes a long time to get over. I lost both of my newfoundlands 9 days apart over the summer, I was very depressed, actually really depr...

Re : Jack-- a REALLY long overdue update

Oh my gosh! I can not believe Jack is one already!!! Happy Birthday Jack!

I am sorry to hear about his lingering preemie issues...and the hearing loss.

I can not believe he did not qualify for RSV shots again this year, didn't he come off oxygen not too long ago?

Re : Discharged from hospital

<t>I was discharged day 6 after delivery. My bp was still in the 170's/100's, which wad down a bit than before delivery, nearly double what I am normally. I had excrutiaing headaches, and they did want to keep me longer, but I really wanted to get home, as we had two other kids at home (the baby end...

Re : amnio tomorrow morning!

<t>Good luck! I really do not come to this site much, but I came specifically to look for an update on you.<br/> <br/> I hope they get you delivered ASAP. A few days in the NICU is worth knowing your baby will be safe and here with you.<br/> <br/> By the way, that is a really beautiful name she will...

Re : Question about NICU comfort beanie...

I saw something in the Preemie Magazine, they are big stuffed arms and hands to make it seem like the baby is being held...is that what you are talking about?

Re : 32 weeks-not good

<t>My son was 32 weeks (31 w 6 days), he weighed 3 lbs even. That was considered IUGR--he did not register on the percentiles (still doesn't as a matter of fact). I was told he should have weighed around 4 pounds, which is a SIGNFICANT difference from 3 lbs. He spent almost 6 weeks in the NICU, one ...

Re : Growth Curve for IUGR Babies

<t>My son was IUGR, 3 lbs at 32 weeks. He has never to this day registered for weight on the percentiles, adjusted or actual. He is currently 25 1/2 months old, and weighs not even 21 pounds. His height is only 9th percentile. My daughter at the same age was 95th percentile for height. <br/> <br/> B...

Re : Can someone tell me about abruptions?

<t>I have had two placental abruptions. With my first pregnancy, I went to the bathroom and there was a gush, I thought my water broke, there was so much, I looked in the toilet and the water was completely blood red...it was all blood. I took an ambulance to the hospital. I gushed several more time...
