Questions about placenta

<t>What does it mean when the perinatologist says that the placenta is very mature? I had my 1st appointment today and I am 28 weeks and 5 days. She said baby looked great. 3lbs 2oz. I have PIH and she said that the pe hasn't declared itself yet but was close. So what does it mean about a very matur...

Peri Appt

<t>Had my 1st peri appointment this morning and it was good. Baby is defintely a girl and weighs 3lbs, 2oz. Weight is 64th percentile and that is good. My labs are good, except the uric acid is high. She said that could be because of the aldomet. She said that I am on the fence with pe. It hasn't re...

good appt

<t>Had a good appointment with regular ob yesterday. He said that my official due date is 7/27/05, not the 7/30/05 and he marked my file to that effect. My BP was great 116/84. Not sure why it was normal. It hasn't been that low in about 6 weeks. I think it is a fluke. I took my medicine late and th...

Re : Found out more about Peri (m)

<t>I am nervous about the appointment but very excited to have another ultrasound. The last ultrasound was at 18 weeks. They told us 70% girl. With this one, we should absolutely know. That was just a regular standard ultrasound done in the hospital. I also want to know what the plan is. My dr hasn'...

Found out more about Peri (m)

<t>Got off the phone with the nurse at my regular OB's office. She said my appointment is scheduled at 9 for 5/8/05. It is a consultation. She said that the peri will review my records, do the high definition ultrasound (I am assuming level II or III), and then will make some recommendations to my O...

Re : ?'s for moms of 32-35 weekers

<t>I am so glad to see this thread because I was wondering how well the 32-35 weekers did. My daughter was born at 36 weeks 0 days and did great. No problems, just small. The dr hopes to get me to 35 weeks with this one. He said at 35 weeks I could deliver at the local hospital instead of the hospit...

Re : pitting edema

A little late on this topic, but that is one of the reasons that my ob is sending me to a perinatologist this week. Even though my labs and urine were good, I still have headaches and a LOT of swelling, and of course my bp is still high. The swelling was very concerning to him.

Re : blood pressure

<t>I'm 27 weeks. Supposed to be due 7/27/05. I am positive of that date, but I had an early ultrasound out of state due to spotting when I was away at work that put the due date at 7/30/05. They have stuck with that date from the report that I brought back ever since, even when they told me that the...

blood pressure

Funny thing. Today my blood pressure is down. It was high for over a month, but now it has dropped some. Not a lot down but not as high as it was on the bottom number. It was running 124/100. Now it's been 130's/90-92 all day. Let's hope it stays lower.

Re : Perinatologist Questions (m)

<t>It must be a coordinating care thing. Because my regular OB set up an appointment next week with him and they are working on setting up one with the peri as soon as possible. We talked about how far along I can get. My regular ob and I talked about visits. I live in a small town. I really want to...
