Re : Girls are different!

<t>Jen - LOL! I was thinking the same thing you did - we have one son and I just about went crazy trying to get all those wrinkles and "extra" parts clean! I think it must be what you are used to.<br/> <br/> Lisa - with little bitty girls, we just do the front to back wipe. Once they get older and s...

Re : Can I really be?

<t>Hey, just to reassure you - babies can survive some pretty incredible stuff! <br/> <br/> My 2 week old was a big huge "surprise" as well, and she was conceived in the midst of me dealing with several really bad kidney stones - I had multiple X-rays, a CT scan, and a *surgery* using sound waves to...

Re : Prometrium?

<t>I was on prometrium for 4 of my 6 babies, because I also had a luteal phase deficiency and miscarried if I didn't take it. <br/> <br/> But I experienced high blood pressure and "bad" stuff in all my pregnancies, so at least in my situation, I don't think the prometrium made any difference [except...

Re : Another Newbie with Questions!

<t>Oh, and just my personal opinion, but I believe that yes, you should be keeping an eye on your BP at home with a good quality, reliable cuff. Again, my opinion, but I think every woman should have a doctor who *believes* her when she reports high blood pressures [and who does not act like she's l...

Re : Another Newbie with Questions!

<t>Are you seeing a perinatologist or maternal fetal med doc? If you aren't, I'd want one on board in your situation. <br/> <br/> I am not a doctor, but I'd be concerned with what you are seeing - I would want to know my doc was watching very carefully and not just dismissing signs and symptoms... <...

Re : Should I get some mental help? (a little long)

<t>I have not experienced a loss and I am so very sorry for the loss of your baby girl. <br/> <br/> That said, PE can be an extremely traumatic event in and of itself, and multiply that by infinity when you lose a child - I think professional help might be extremely beneficial. Many women suffer act...

Re : New and have preeclampsia......kinda long

<t>Jodi, regardless of your lab results, BPs that high can kill you [and cause placental abruption]. <br/> <br/> I personally would be very uncomfortable not being in a hospital at this point - being monitored very, very closely. <br/> <br/> Just to compare, I went into what we are pretty sure was a...

Re : Suddenly Pre E long story.

When my BP got as high as what you are having, I felt very "amped up" [don't know quite how to describe it]. I felt really irritable, kind of hyper, and was very 'reactive' to everything going on around me.

Not a good feeling. :(

Re : Suddenly Pre E long story.

<t>As high as some of your readings are, I don't know how much longer they will let you remain pregnant - those are really, really high. <br/> <br/> They will probably try to buy as much time as possible for the steroid shots to have time to work for the baby, but with readings that high, they shoul...

<t>Oh Lisa! What an ordeal!<br/> <br/> I am SO glad you and Katherine are doing well now. She is *beautiful*!!! And so big - what did she weigh at birth? She is just adorable! <br/> <br/> Thanks for sharing your story! I hope you are feeling well and that recovery is going good!<br/> <br/> Kelly<br/...
