Feeling really discouraged :(

I had posted about a month ago that the MFM noticed that my placenta is right over my classical c-section scar. I go back June 12th for another ultraound to check this. If it attaches to the scar, it is something called Placenta Accreta. This makes removing the placenta at birth almost impossible. I...

Re: Leg cramps?

I take a calcium, magnesium, zinc supplement twice a day and I've found that it really helps with the leg cramps. If I skip a day, I can expect to get a cramp in my leg that night.

Re: Looking at my BP history with 2nd born...now some anxiet

I know what you mean. It's amazing to look back and see just how fast I got sick. But, in my case, it's also amazing to see all of the signs that pointed to it even earlier that no one picked up on. That's why I feel a little more "ready" this time. I know the signs (the horrible swelling, headaches...

23 weeks!

I've made it to 23 weeks! One more week until Viability! :) So far, everything is good. BP this morning was a beautiful 110/60 and no swelling in hands or feet yet. Overall, I'm feeling well. I remember with DD#1, my feet were so incredibility swollen by 25 weeks. I can't remember when it started ex...

Re: Children and growth after born during pre-e

My daughter is 21lbs (on a good day) at 24 months. I'm not exactly sure of her height but she goes to the pedi for her 2 year check up tomorrow. She is tiny. She was born 2lbs 11oz and we struggled with severe reflux issues and she also has chronic constipation. It's a daily struggle. I'm not sure i...

Re: Blood test confirmed...

Congrats Val!! So happy for you! I know how hard it is to relax in the first trimester. Weeks 12-20 were pretty breezy for me (besides wanting to know gender!) but now I'm just as worried watching my BP and for swelling, etc. ugh! It's so stressful. I wish you the best of luck with this pregnancy!! ...

Re: classical c-section scar/ anterior placenta

So far, so good. :) Baby is measuring right on track right now and my blood pressure seems to be behaving nicely. No swelling so far. So I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the next 16 weeks go by smoothly. Thanks for asking!

Re: 21 weeks looking for support

I understand your fears completely. As I approach 20 weeks, I get more and more nervous. Just try to relax as much as possible. It helps me calm down when I tell myself that getting anxious will only increase my BP and there's nothing I can do to prevent pre-e, so I just have to hope to for the best...

classical c-section scar/ anterior placenta

I had my anatomy scan yesterday and it looks like we are having another healthy baby girl. :) The doctor did say though that my placenta is anterior and is over my classical scar (vertical). The seperation looked nice and thick and they said that would keep an eye on it as I get closer to due date. ...

Re: Update & Question

Thanks for the replies guys. :) I had my anatomy scan yesterday and I asked the MFM about the uterine artery doppler and he said it wouldn't really tell them anything. He said he already considers my risk high because of the chornic hypertension and having pre-e before so they don't need to do it? H...
