Re: How often do you monitor your BP?

I'm glad you posted this question, I was going to post the same! We've been instructed to take it 2x a day. We do once morning, once evening. Though I'll admit it... I take it way more often! As a bit of a control freak I find it soooo frustrating when it's higher than usual especially when I'm just...

Re: protein and blood pressures update from this appt below

Glad it seems they are taking things more seriously, though like others would still be so much more comfortable if you were sitting in a hospital "suite". :) At the same time I know you're totally on top of all your symptoms and will call at the first sign of any changes. Glad baby is looking great ...

Re: What to Ask Maternal Fetal Specialist?

I just had a conversation with our MFM about our first pregnancy who I absolutely adore and who has been with us for almost four years. I recommend prefacing the conversation by letting the doctor "off the hook" so to speak. Letting them know that they don't have to make whatever happened or decisio...

Re: protein and blood pressures update from this appt below

Are you still seeing the regular OB or have you been able to consult with the MFM? I'm hopeful they will take your concerns more seriously. And you may need to play a bit more hardball with them if they don't. Like I think another poster said, ask them to record in your chart your exact symptoms, th...

Re: What happens biologically during Pre-E

This thread has been so interesting. I wondered if anyone knew if the etiology of super-imposed pre-e was different. If I understand correctly in "regular" PE it all originates from placenta issues. When you have super-imposed pre-e is that still the case? Or is it that because you have PIH, reach t...

Re: Making the call to deliver baby?

We were hospitalized with pressures and protein similar to yours at 36 weeks... no headache though and were "allowed" to stay pregnant until 36w6d when my bp spiked again to the 170s and we were induced and delivered at 37 weeks. It does seem that what a doctor is most comfortable with plays a lot i...

Re: protein and blood pressures update from this appt below

I'm so glad you are going in. All the numbers are scary, and what's most scary is that it comes across loud and clear that your mommy gut is telling you something is wrong, which trumps everything. Please keep us posted when you can. I'm keeping crossables crossed that you find a solid doctor that w...

Re: protein and blood pressures

Are you being seen by an MFM (high risk doc)? if not I would absolutely ask your OB for a referral. I think your right to be leery of not being taken seriously, especially given your history.

Re: Dropping percentiles

I'm sorry the numbers are unnerving for you. I don't have any experience with IUGR... just wanted to let ya know I'd be thinking of you and am hopeful it's just a normal trend for your lil' one. I know you'll be watching those numbers like a hawk and making sure your doctors do too. Your lil' one is...
