Re: Labetalol

I was on Labetalol during my pregnancy (900 mg a day) and my daughter was born with absolutely no ill effects. She is now a healthy 11 month old. However I have heard things about Zoloft during pregnancy, especially in the 3rd trimester which is the only reason why I tell you this, because if you ar...

Re: Does severity of pre e decrease with each baby?

Caryn,

I didn't know that early bleeding was also a sign of pre-e. It seems like I had all the early signs, from early bleeding to low PAPP-A levels. It it good to hear that normally pre-e is less severe in later pregnancies.

Re: Low Low PAPP-A Result + Peeclampsia?

I had low PAPPA levels at my 1st trimester combined screening blood work. They thought that because my HCG levels were elevated also, that I could have a child with down syndrome. But they also said it could affect my baby's growth and could put me at risk for high blood pressure issues later in pre...

Re: Newbie: 21+4 weeks pg; high risk for PE (ex. low PAPP-A

Hi Georgia Girl, 27 weeks, woohoo! Each week is a reason to celebrate! Keep that baby in there though, having a 27 weeker will mean a long NICU stay and you really don't want that if at all possible. To answer your questions: no, my daughter did not have any form of IUGR, but they did monitor me for...

Re: Newbie: 21+4 weeks pg; high risk for PE (ex. low PAPP-A

Hi Georgiagirl, Just wanted to introduce myself, as our stories seem pretty similar in some ways. When I was pregnant with my daughter, they noticed very low HCG levels in the beginning (6-8 weeks) of my pregnancy, and then very low PAPPA levels at my 1st trimester screening, so they told me that my...

Re: any expierence with xanex?

Xanax is a tranquilizer that is highly addictive. It can create a dependency so that when you don't take it, anxiety actually increases. My doctor has prescribed Ativan for me, which is similar, but only to use in cases of extreme panic attacks. I would stay away from it if you can!

Re: Spilling protein

First of all, congratulations on getting to 24 weeks and viability! Have you been getting normal readings at home? Its amazing how blood pressure can change while at the doctors office, mine always, always is much higher there and I do monitor at home too. I can understand your concern about the pro...

Re: 14 Weeks and BP Is Already High

Blood pressure is a funny thing because it can go up at the doctor's office just from being nervous about the reading! I recently went to the doctor and my pressure was 150/102, however I take it at home every day (usually multiple times) and it is always in the 120s-130s over 70s-80s. It also went ...
