Re: link between indigestion and pre-e?

Hmmm...indigestion seems to be a common prengnacy symptom no matter what. I wouldn't count it as a pre-e symptom just because it is so very common in pregnancy. When baby pushes up on your organs as he/she gets bigger, there is less room in the stomach and acid can occur as your organs shift around....

Re: Introducing Myself

Welcome to the boards! You will find a lot of support here. I am so sorry to hear about your son. I hope that this pregnancy will have a better outcome for you. I agree to follow your gut instincts and not to follow a specific diet as there is no research that a specific diet can make any difference...

Re: What Symptoms Come First?

The first sign for me was at 6 weeks pregnant, when I was bleeding and my hormone levels were not as they should be, suggesting a shallow or weak implantation. Then, at my first trimester combined screening, my PAPPA levels were very low and my HCG levels were high, again suggesting placental proble...

Re: Pre-e at 29 weeks, and doctor not concerned?

I had a similar situation during my pregnancy. When I was 29 weeks pregnant and went to the triage after recording high BP at home, they got a reading of 190/120 there while I was sitting up but 150/90 laying down. Therefore, my OB said that I should just go home and "take it easy" and lay on my lef...

Re: 24 hour protein/ QUESTION!

My blood pressure shot up at 26 weeks, was really high at 29 weeks, but then stabilized as I was put on meds and bed rest. At 36 weeks when I delivered, my BP was in the 170s/100s at my appointment but was down in the 140s/90s once I got to the hospital. My protein was taken at 3 times. Once at 29 w...

Celebrating My Daughter

Well, for us it is a day to celebrate. Our daughter is 1 year old today! She is now in the 95th percentile for height and 50th percentile for weight, unadjusted. She is constantly scaring us with her daredevil moves, standing on top of chairs and couches, unraveling the toilet paper several times a ...

Re: BP reading of 178/110... go to ER or okay to wait till t

Georgia girl, As the queen of anxiety, I know a lot about anxiety meds. Just so you know, Zoloft takes a month to start working and at first can make you much more anxious. I have been on it for a while now and at first it made me feel much worse. A more helpful choice might be a benzo, like Ativan ...
