Re: Glamour Magazine article
I read this a few weeks ago when the magazine came in the mail. I cried several times. Good for Glamour for informing more people on the dangers of PE/HELLP.

Re: Here we go!
Thank you, friends! I have something I'd like everyones opinion on: The newest MFM mentioned in passing that after 12 weeks the pre-e card has already been dealt and there's no taking it back (at least that's what I gathered, I asked hubs about it and he remembers doc saying 10 weeks). I asked him a...

Re: New With Questions
Hi Mistie- When my pressures soared at 21ish weeks, I was on 500mg of aldomet twice a day but my bp stayed up around 150/100. My MFM made the call for me to switch to Labetalol 200mg twice a day along with amlodipine. That combo finally held my bp to around 140/90, but I ended up with HELLP at 25 we...

Here we go!
Had another preconception consult today with a different MFM. He said the same things as the other MFM but he did say we could try NOW if we wanted, despite me still being overweight. My bp is controlled- 120/83 today- which is what he would be most concerned with. So I guess we're officially ttc. H...

If I Die Young
I have successfully avoided this song for about a year, but it found me this evening as I watched The Voice. I then spent the next hour torturing myself by listening to it over and over.
Just when I think I'm doing okay, I am reminded that I will never be.

Re: Back from the hospital...
I hated the constant hospital visits where I worried whether or not I'd get to go home or not. I'm glad you're home and I hope you and baby make it another 3 weeks. Get tons of rest and drink lots, it's for a good cause.

Re: Seeing an MFM on Thursday!
I reread through my post after the consult and I can see where I think the confusion started. The original MFM I saw will be my primary because my OB has already said that she would feel more comfortable with a MFM watching my pregnancy. No OB for me. MFM said she will also deliver baby (scheduled c...

Congratulations! My heart broke for you when I read about your twins. I hope this pregnancy is long and ends with a beautiful rainbow for you to take home.

Re: Seeing an MFM on Thursday!
I would try to see someone from a different practice, ideally. One thing that differed between the different MFM's I saw besides their opinions on lovenox was that with my MFM, I will only always see "my" MFM. With the other MFM practice, they rotate MFM's so I would never (or not typically) see th...
