Re : Concerned Husband -- How Concerned Should I Be?

<t>Hi Geoff,<br/> <br/> you've been given great info already, which I won't repeat - although I would reiterate getting that heartburn checked out. In your shoes, I'd be inclined to go in and let them run blood work to check your wife's liver.<br/> <br/> You might also take your home BP monitor in w...

Re : Grey's Anatomy

<t>I winced at that comment, too. But at the same time they threw that out, they then took a baby that was needing help to breathe off support and she thrived just by kangaroo care - which appeared just as nonsensical to me remembering how much help Jay needed on cPap and tube feeding etc...<br/> <b...

Re : Grey's Anatomy

Jennifer, I saw it. Jay was a 30-weeker, which really triggered my emotions. It's amazing how quickly you can find yourself back in that NICU - Jay turned 11 this week and I was still bawling.

Re : Getting worried...

<t>C M welcome.<br/> <br/> Honestly, I'd say you are answering your own question at the end: you're feeling off and you recognize the feeling. Staying home will not make pe go away if you are indeed developing it again. <br/> <br/> And yes, pe can progress very rapidly. With your history, I would be...

Re : Very freaked out

<t>Hi Jana,<br/> <br/> with your history, I should think you are freaked out. Did you experience the URQ pain in your first pregnancy? Is there anything about this pain - or how you are feeling generally - that reminds you of how you felt then? <br/> <br/> Certainly it could be the baby's growth, or...

Re : Measures taken during second pregnancy

<t>Hi Kimberly,<br/> <br/> the most important thing in any subsequent pregnancy after preeclampsia is to make sure you find yourself a good doctor. I'm in Canada too, and I'd recommend talking to your family doctor about a referral for a pre-conception appointment with a high risk OB so that you can...

Re : Unexpected PE death in utero - why?

<t>Jules,<br/> <br/> I think your instinct that this will never fully be explained is right. Managing preeclampsia is walking a tightrope at the best of times - when you're severe early onset, I think it's just that much more of a nightmare.<br/> <br/> The placenta when I had Nate was so tiny, I rem...

Re : i am sinking

<t>Katia,<br/> <br/> I am so sorry for the loss of your precious Anya and your continued pain. It is so hard watching the world keep turning when yours has stopped dead. I admit that 12 years after losing Nate, I can still recall the more insensitive things said to me at the time. I lost friendships...
