Re : Hypothyroid/Hashimoto's/Graves???

<t>Thanks Ladies!<br/> <br/> I was diagnosed after 4 years of high blood pressure (even medicated) and a high pulse rate. I had always been borderline hyperthyroid, but no doc ever treated it. I have a wonderful progressive doctor here that specializes in Hashimoto's and he's on the fence about anot...

Re : HCTZ and muscle cramps

Your potassium could be low. When I was on HCTZ, my potassium level dropped dangerously. You should definitely get it checked out. Usually, just one or two days of RX Potassium will do the trick. You'd have to eat hundreds of bananas or potatoes.

Re : IUD Anyone???

I've had the Paragard (copper IUD) for 5 years now and I love it! I do worry about getting it changed out in a few years. The only thing was heavier periods and cramping after insertion. Other than that, it was easy!

Re : Autoimmune Questions???

<t>One autoimmune disease that can cause a rash is Grave's Disease. I have Grave's Disease and Hashimoto's... Both autoimmune thyroid disorders. I dealt with some clumsiness, etc... Just because your thyroid is normal doesn't mean that you don't have the Graves/Hashi's antibodies. Have you seen an e...

Re : Stats on "Real" Hypertension PP?

<t>I was always 100/60 before pregnancy. After pregnancy, I was on 2 hypertensive meds (Benicar and HCTZ) for 5 years. When a new doc finally discovered that I had a Grave's disease (hyperthyroid autoimmune) and we ablated my thyroid, my bp went down almost instantly. Now that I am hypothyroid, if I...

Re : Mag Sulfate question

The mag made me VERY hot... So hot that the AC froze in my hospital room (I was NOT happy). I felt anxious, lethargic, couldn't see very well. Ainsley wouldn't nurse at all while I was on it. But, like the others said (and my doc said) "tis better than the alternative."

I had HG from week 5 to when I delivered. Feeding tubes, a port for IVs. Great fun. ;-)

Re : Nausa back with vengance

Hi Amy,

Have you tried Unisom? I had hyperemesis during my entire pregnancy and took Zofran and Unisom. It's one of the safest pregnancy drugs.

Take care,

Re : Question with TMI lol

I have 2 autoimmune diseases (Graves & Hashimoto's) and I can say that I've had a marble size cyst on the outside my hoo hoo (as my daughter would call it). The doc drained it and I was put on antibiotics and it hasn't come back in 5 years. Good luck and OUCH!
