Re : Struggling with people thinking I'm "over it" ...

<t>I know how you feel. I found it particularly bizarre when family members stopped asking me how I was doing, and assumed I was "over it." I recall wanting to yell out that I never wanted to be "over" the death of my child - that to be "over it" was to forget and I'll never, never forget. Honestly,...

Re : Anyone else have trouble with this?

<t>Oh, this sounds so, so hard. I haven't had this happen exactly, but I have dealt with inlaws that honestly didn't know what to do or say. I also dealt with my own mom, who lost her first grandchild and was left sort of hanging emotionally in a way that was very different from what me and my DH we...

Re : Which came first?

<t>Hi there. I didn't have full blown hellp, but I ended up having malaise first, then visual aura and the really, really bad PE headache with edema. Then the epigastric pain started in a way that felt at first like constipation. And it wasn't upper right quadrant for me at all - more like a central...

Re : Can't get this out of my head

Okay, then there's the 8 month that died from sucking his dad's cocaine-laced fingers... I just can't handle it. This is all so wrong and I feel helpless to make things better.

Re : Heart "fluttering" UPDATE

I get this too. Almost like my heart decided to tango for a second or two, then reverts back to normal. It's distressing, but not painful.

Re : Postpardum High heart rate..

I don't know the answer to your question, but I experienced very high heart rate when I was pregnant the first time - abnormally high resting rate - I felt like my heart was jumping out of my chest. I took medication for this during my second pregnancy. Sounds worth checking out.

Can't get this out of my head

<t>I'm in California, and the internet had a lot of press coverage today about a toddler being beaten to death by a man in a city a few hours south of where I live. The man was then fatally shot by police. Several passersby tried to intervene, but were unsuccessful in saving the child. This story hu...

Re : Hope For Preeclampsia Victims

<t>Caryn - thanks for the reply. You're a champ to spend an hour looking at my question. I agree that nothing is simple in biology! This issue about dropping estrogen levels is so intriguing though because of what I'd heard in the past on migraine. And a further complication is that, for me, I would...

Re : SB 850 - certificate of still birth

<t>I received my certificate today - about 4 weeks to get it. I'm very pleased - it looks a lot like my son's birth certificate, but says "certifiate of still birth" on the top. It was nice to finally do this, after following the process the legislation went through and even speaking at a committee ...

Re : ? about Platelet Levels

<t>I hope you are being monitored closely. Be careful about writing off the headache as seasonal allergies. If you have that much edema, plus labile BPs, and orange urine, the headache could be around the corner. You'll know the difference between the PE headache and an allergy headache - the headac...
