Re : Hypoglycemia

<t>I was told by my doctor that it doesn't matter what type of carbs you are eating, it is all about the amount and consistancy. I am actually having to add carbs to my diet to try to get my sugars under control. She told me we should have 30-45 at breakfast, 15-30 mid morning snack, 45 for lunch, 1...

What was your BP?

<t>I was wondering what your blood pressure levels were before your doctor put you on bp meds. My baseline has always been 100/60, and now seems to run around 140/90 most of the time. I get spikes of 150/100 and a little higher, but my doctor says she is not gonna worry until it gets above 160/110. ...

Re : When did you start home BP checks?

As soon as I was diagnosed, which was about 29 weeks. I wish I had started earlier though, so that I would know more about my baseline which is really low like yours. I have been able to watch it slowly get higher and higher each week. :(

Re : Nausea??

<t>I have been nauseous for several weeks off and on. I am pretty sure it is from blood pressure spikes in my case. However, I have read it can be a symptom of HELLP. You should definately tell your doctor(s). I've only thrown up a couple of times, but I know what you mean about hovering in the bath...

BP Jumping Drastically!

<t>My bp has been really odd the last couple of days. My baseline is 100/60. I have been keeping a record, and it has been hovering around 130s/80s for the past couple weeks. It goes up and down, but mostly that seems to be my new "normal". However, the last couple of days it seems to be either 110/...

Re : wierd question

<t>I've been having that for several days. I keep checking my bp and it seems normal....well....not crazy high anyway. My doctor said it's from the swelling. My hands and feet also look really "splotchy". Anyways, she didn't seem concerned. As long as you are checking your bp I wouldn't worry too mu...

Re : Most Complicated Pregnancy EVER!

<t>Thanks ladies. I wouldn't wish this on anyone, but it's kinda nice to know I'm not alone. It's sooo hard not to worry about what can go wrong though. I am on bed rest at home, and have a blood pressure machine (automatic) that I use to monitor my pressure at home. It is usually okay (around 130-1...

Most Complicated Pregnancy EVER!

<t>I am currently 30 weeks pregnant with my third child. My first two pregnancies were a breeze. Full term, no complications, 9 lb babies. This one, not so much. It began with hyperemesis gravadarum (extreem morning/all day sickness) and I lost 20 lbs. I was hospitalized for fluids several times. It...
