Re : Breastfeeding

<t>Make sure you are using a hospital grade pump or at least something as good as a medela pump in style. I've exclusively pumped for 3 kiddos now and know from experience that a good pump will make all the difference. Also, parts like rubber valves will wear out over time and need to be replaced to...

Rough ride but he's here!

<r>My baby was born yesterday at 39 weeks. He's my third and biggest baby! 8 lbs 11 oz and 21 inches long. My BP behaved all pregnancy until this past Monday when it spiked and didn't come back down. We decided to induce yesterday and even though my labor was only 4 hours long, it was incredibly int...

PIH-- inducing tomorrow

<t>Spent some time in L&D this afternoon after getting high BP readings at home this morning. I only have trace protein but my BPs are running in the high 160s/100 range. I have no swelling hardly today nor have I had it for most of this pregnancy. It's really strange how things can be so differ...

Going in for a BP check today

<t>Just made it to 39 weeks yesterday and now my BP is too high this morning. :-( I had hoped to not deal with this at all and go into labor on my own after two PE pregnancies. I'd rather be safe than sorry though so I'm going in today for a check. I never expected to make it this far honestly. I ju...

Re : C-Section

<t>I've had two vaginal deliveries - one at 40 weeks and one at 35 weeks. Both times I had a really bad Bishop's score (my cervix wasn't ready) but both times everything worked out just fine! Anytime you are induced with a low Bishop's score, you run a higher risk of needing a c-section but its stil...

Re : 37 weeks & no PE

Woohoo!!! Congrats! I've made it to 39 weeks and no PE diagnosis so far although I don't know how much longer that will stay true. I may be having a baby Dec 14th too if he doesn't arrive on his own before then. That's the date the OB said he didn't want me to go past. We will see!

How common is 1+ protein in late pregnancy?

<t>My BP was up a little at my OB appt yesterday but he didn't seem too concerned. It was 142/92. It had been running 120s/90. I didn't ask about protein in my urine but I have test strips from my last pregnancy so I thought I would test today since my BP has been consistently reading low 140s/high ...
