Bad Headaches in early 2nd Trimester
It is been a while since I've been on these boards and I could use some advice... Does anyone know if headaches at the beginning of the 2nd trimester have anything to do with whether you develop PE later in pregnancy? I'm 13w5d with baby #4 and for the past week I've had BAD headaches. Initially the...

Re: A super confusing OB :S
First, congratulations on making it this far! That is a HUGE milestone for those of us who had a 2nd trimester delivery in the past! Second, I'm sorry to hear things are so confusing at the moment. Here is my suggestions...let your MFM know your OB has a different due date and let him decide which i...

Baby with reflux & turning blue?
Hi ladies. My son was born at 37w2d via scheduled repeat c-section due to previous classical section. We were thrilled to make it to full term and our scheduled section, but as it turns out, my little guy still needed NICU & has been there for just over 3weeks. Initial diagnosis was respiratory dist...

Re: Can you explain the "two year window"?
I don't have time to look for the actual study at the moment because my son is in the NICU, but there was a study that mentioned risk of reoccurance being less during the 2 yr window. IIRC, The main focus of the study wasn't really to look at what interval lessens the risk...it was just an observati...

Re: chances of pre-e in 3rd pregnancy
If you don't get PE during your 2nd pregnancy, I the think your chance of developing it in a 3rd pregnancy is even less. It is still higher than the general population, but less risky than your 2nd pregnancy. I developed severe PE at 26w during my 1st pregnancy. Going into my 2nd pregnancy, my MFM t...

Re: When to deliver w/ history of classical c-section
I get the sense this is not typical, but I was scheduled for a repeat c/s at 39 weeks with my second despite having a classic c/s with my first. At the first signs of labor at 38 weeks (on the nose), they delivered. I had no complications but they did give medications to stop/slow the labor while w...

Re: When to deliver w/ history of classical c-section
Thanks ladies. Angie, the hospitals around here have the same policy requiring amnios prior to 37 weeks, or at least they did last year. However, I think the classical c-section alone is technically enough for the hospital to consider it medically necessary. Now there is a BIG push in our area (& I ...

When to deliver w/ history of classical c-section
If you had a classical c-section in a previous pregnancy, how far along will your Dr let you go this time (assuming no PE) before he delivers? I'll be 35 weeks tomorrow & so far things are going very well--BP is good & no protein. There are multiple doctors at my MFM practice and they all have diffe...

Re: birth certificate
It depends on where Alex was born. Some states do offer birth certificates for stillborn babies. Here in VA there is an application specifically for stillbirths that parents can use to get the certificate.
