Re : 12 weeks pp and BP crazy!

<r>Hi WDersely!<br/> <br/> I agree that you may want to check in with your doc, that your meds may need tweaking to give you that extra "umph" to keep your pressures down. I am currently 2 weeks PP and still having astronomical readings. I go weekly to my OB for checks, and yesterday, after still re...

Re : Suddenly PE, Suddenly Over - A Birth Story!

Thanks Caryn! I think we were posting at the same time! my numbers are 148/80 now. My pressures immediately dropped after Ryder's birth. It was amazing to see how fast and how much difference delivery made! Doc said if we had waited another day it could have been disasterous.

Re : Suddenly PE, Suddenly Over - A Birth Story!

<t>I forgot to add...... <br/> <br/> Other than feeling the usual aches and pains involved with giving birth (sore tush, bruised back and a happy tired) that weird, something isn't right feeling has gone away. Headache immediately went away, as did pains in the wrists, spots that I had started seein...

Suddenly PE, Suddenly Over - A Birth Story!

<r>BP shot up late Monday afternoon and never went down, despite an increase in my meds. It got so high (160/110), I was shaking like a leaf all over- very scary. MIL was there when it all started. At first I blamed it on all the activity, having just got home from the Dr. Appt, then having her over...

Re : Suddenly PE Update w/ new questions

<t>And yet a new update!<br/> <br/> 36 weeks today. Baby still doing well! I, on the other hand am swollen again to the point where not only can I barely close my fingers, I can feel the swelling in my elbows and when I mash on my heavily swollen foot, it leaves a dent. I gained 8lbs in water in the...

Re : Newbie with questions from Hospital Bed . . . .

They always make me sit up when they take my BP. I was told by the nurses at my doc's office that this was way more accurate.

Re : shoulder pain after emergency c-section

sladann, I would see if your doctor can refer you to a neurologist in your area. They deal with all kinds of nerve issues and will probably send you for an MRI and or other testing to see if they can pinpoint the problem.

Re : Anybody watched "The Doctors" show today?

<t>I am severe PE now, and plan to deliver any day since my 3rd BP meds increase in less than 2 weeks. I was not overweight prior to this dx, and had only gained 8 pounds thru the entire pregnancy. It was the sudden, large weight gain that caught the nurses eye that led to my current dx. I do not be...
