Children's High Blood Pressure

My former 32 weeker, now 5, just spent a few days in the hospital for abdominal pain. Fortunately, he's out and doing fine - no definitive cause was found. But, incidentally, they found his blood pressures to be high during his stay, even when he wasn't in pain. Some of his readings were even number...

Re: Fundraiser

Thank you. I guess the main thing is that I would be telling people that I'm raising this money to donate to the Preeclampsia Foundation, so I won't need any active support but the OK to use the name :D

Fundraiser

I wanted to hold a fundraiser to raise money to donate. Do I need any special permission or is it OK to go ahead to do this? Since I'm a Stella & Dot representative, I would like to hold a "virtual trunk show" and donate my profits to the Preeclampsia Foundation in honor of Preeclampsia Awareness Mo...

Re: Just diagnosed 27 Weeks

I have a similar reaction to the caffeine in fioricet. I had migraines before, during and after pregnancy. I used tylenol with codeine for the migraines when I was pregnant more than the fioricet - the last thing I wanted was any more trouble sleeping.

Re: Anterior placenta

I also had an anterior placenta with my second pregnancy, which I did not have PreE in. I never noticed anything different about it, but was told that I might feel less movement because of it.

Re: Long time no see ... hello!!

Hi, good to see you! Sorry to hear about the ear and breathing issues :( I don't know anything about ears...but we are familiar with breathing issues. Alexander has been treated for asthma for the last couple of years (label or not doesn't matter I guess).

Glad to see how well everyone is doing!

Re: Question about PCOS

For me it was the same as angieb, I never had normal periods either - I ignored it because I was young (and embarrassed to talk about it). Then when we started thinking about getting pregnant I went off the pill and never got a period. My OB/Gyn saw abnormalities in my bloodwork which led him to bel...

Re: Hurricane Irene and Hospitals

I live just west of Washington DC. We are expecting tropical storm conditions this evening and overnight. Our NICU reunion was supposed to be held tomorrow and has been cancelled. There are no evacuations ordered in our immediate area, but our hospital has issued a press release ensuring that they a...

Re: When to deliver w/ history of classical c-section

Yes, they had been checking my cervix regularly and I was having cervical length ultrasounds. The signs that had me head into L&D were contractions and I had just started dilating and was 1cm, so it was the very earliest signs of labor that prompted delivery. I did not have an amnio or a fetal fibro...
