Re : Pregnant again and having symptoms...

<t>Hi,<br/> I wish you the best of luck with your choice. I went through this choice last year, and as of 8 weeks into the pregnancy, I was having 'symptoms' of something. Whether you want to call it pe or not, it certainly felt the same as my previous pregnancy with severe preeclampsia. I *knew* th...

Re : OK...here's the update...

Nikki, you and Ethan are amazing! You must be the proudest mother ever. I am bewildered that after all you have been through, hope is the first thing out of your mouth - I feel really happy to hear this message. I wish Ethan a lot of luck getting off the vent soon.

Re : Splinter Hemorrhages and joint pain

Thank you ladies for your responses. I know a lot of people talk about a bout of preelcampsia 'unmasking' other things going on in their bodies. I will take the vitamin D, thyroid, and thrombophilia suggestions and have these checked - I have not in the past.

Splinter Hemorrhages and joint pain

<t>A question for those of you with autoimmune issues post-pe. After Alex was born in 2008, I would ocassionally have splinter hemorrhages in my fingernails, but not on a regular basis. After an unplanned miscarriage last summer, I've started having regular bp spikes, splinter hemorrhages, and joint...

I am glad you were able to spend a few moments with Olivia, but I am so sorry it was so fleeting. Please consider the strong women here a resource to help you. I am terribly sorry for your loss.

Re : Bleach Accident

Don't worry too much. You most likely drink chlorine every day in water, it is used in most water systems to kill viruses and bacteria...a little diluted will be ok.

Re : Platelets Dropping

<t>You are awesome to have made it this far (on hospital bed rest no less!). For me, as soon as my bp started to go up (above the 160/100 it was at), AND my platelets dropped, it was time. I think it is the whole picture of what is going on. <br/> 35 weeks is great, and you have a wonderful attitude...

Re : How high before you call Doc

<t>It is so understandable for you to be nervous! If it would help, on Tuesday ask the doctor to write down numbers for you - so that you know that if your bp is above this certain level, you should call in. Especially since you are unfortunately already too familiar with the symptoms of PE/HELLP.</t>

Re : nursing troubles

<t>Congratulations on all the work you're putting in to nursing...it can be really, really frustrating and testing at times. At 2.5 weeks (is your son full term?), babies can be pretty noncommittal about breastfeeding, especially when supply changes. The objective at this age, from my point of view,...

Suzanne,
I too hit the labetalol pretty hard last pregnancy. It is crazy, but I hope it keeps you in the game for a while longer.
