Any relation btwn severe pre-e and gallbladder?

<t>I was having gall bladder attacks while I was pregnant (and didn't realize it) and had some attacks after I had my son. I ended up having my gall bladder out 3 months after having my son.<br/> <br/> I have made the rounds to the perinatologist, the hematologist, and now am back to my reproductive...

Referred to hematologist??

<t>I went to the perinatologist almost 3 weeks ago for a consult, and was told (based on my situation) that I had a 15-20% chance of recurrence for pre-e. They took a ton of blood, and called with my results. I had asked about the vitamin D (I have PCOS and have also read that D deficiency affects f...

Re : Special Growth Charts for preemies

<t>My DS is 14 months adjusted, about 17 months actual. He has been wearing 12 month old clothes since May, and is still too short for 18 month old clothes. In fact, some of the 12 month pants are too small for him. He is about 29 1/2 inches long, but weighs about 24 pounds. We are not tall ( I am 5...

Prevalence of family history of preeclampsia?

<t>Just wondering if family history plays a role in preeclampsia. In my case, no one in my family (unless it was generations back) had preeclampsia. Both my mom's family and my dad's family are comprised of about 6 brothers and one sister (on dad's side) and 5 sisters on my mom's side. I have severa...

RSV-season 2-no shots-precautions??

<t>It doesn't look like we will be approved for the second year of RSV shots.<br/> <br/> So.... I am just wondering what you did in year two to keep your kid healthy? DS does not go to day care, my MIL keeps him during the day while I work and he is not around other kids.<br/> <br/> However, I do wa...

Eye issues/strabismus

<t>Just want to get some advice.DS was born in August 2007 11 weeks early. He had stage 1 ROP, which resolved on its own. The retina doctors referred us to the pediatric ophthalmologist in our area, who saw DS in the spring. We went back for a follow up appoinment 2 weeks ago, and he says that he ne...

Re : Shortness of breath?

<t>I would definitely put a call in to your doctor. I had pulmonary edema (fluid on the lungs)-caused by severe preeclampsia, causing me to have shortness of breath. I also had it intermittently, but it got worse. I know that having shortness of breath is a common pregnancy symptom, but it can also ...

Re : Anyone have issues with introducing solids?

<t>We've also tried bananas-still doesn't like them. We have been going to the OT once per month as part of the NICU follow up. He will actually be 1 year old the first part of August, but he was 11 weeks early, so he's about 8 1/2 months. He's on target with his milestones, some things he is doing ...

Re : Anyone have issues with introducing solids?

Well, so far the fruit is not flying, either. We tried pears today, and he didn't seem to care for them, either. I will try letting him feed himself. Yogurt is also a great suggestion.

Thanks, ladies!! I appreciate the advice!

Re : 1st birthday coming up in August

<t>Not that I want to have company on this particular issue, it is very reassuring to know that I am not alone. It feels so strange to have such deep conflicting emotions. <br/> <br/> Kara-it is hard to believe that he is going to be one. I know people say that when you have a baby, the time flies, ...
