Re : Wisconsin Group Meeting

<t>Kara, <br/> Do we have a date set for PE Walk for 2009 yet? And, are you planning another meeting? (I totally forgot the last time). I have all the e-mail contacts saved for the three calendars I posted to and they all said to e-mail sooner next time! <br/> Hope you're doing well. I am really sor...

Re : More money saving tips.....

<t>I live in Wisconsin, which was greatly affected by the flooding a few weeks ago. Because of the flooding, the farm analysts are predicting meat prices are going to skyrocket this fall -- so I echo the plan to buy meat before the end of summer and freeze it! <br/> Anyway, I am trying to make sure ...

Re : The "what's that?" stage....and what's normal

<t>When we got our 3-year-old info from our doctor, it said, and I am quoting, "Three-year-olds ask more questions than district attorneys." I laughed out loud when I read that. I have decided that the repeated "what that it is?" question over and over is my test of patience. I usually fail the pati...

Re : Fibroid on outside of uterus

<t>I had two inside with my first pregnacy and four inside with my second. My doctor was a little concerned because they got so big during my pregnancies. During my second pregnancy, one of my fibroids was 6 cm wide and felt like a baby foot! It's amazing how they shrink afterward. <br/> To answer y...

Re : Vitamin D

<t>Thank you, that's helpful. My multivitamin is like 400 a day. A supplement would be another 400, so not even reaching that 1000, but milk has vitamin D too. <br/> Also, I like the affirmation that one study isn't the answer, which I tried to politely explain to my MIL. I am doing my best not to g...

Re : Low potassium (months after birth) caused by p/e?

<t>That's a great question that I'm not sure I know the answer to. I think some BP meds cause lower potassium, but you aren't on BP meds. Could it be a side effect of your thyroid medicine? When I was pregnant, I took extra potassium for a little while because I kept getting charlie horses in my leg...

Re : Do both numbers have to be high?

<t>I don't think both numbers have to be high. My top number has never gotten too high, and when I was first diagnosed with PE in the first pregnancy, my bottom number was the concern. My doc told me that she was always more concerned with my bottom number. Every person is different in terms of what...

Re : Vent about rude sick people

<t>Okay! Had to chime in. I am a teacher ,and so sometimes I go to school to meet with my long-term sub or to catch up with colleagues and the first thing out of their mouths is "where's the baby?" or "why didn't you bring the baby?" And, I quickly get sarcastic and ask "how dumb do you think I am?"...
