Re: Spotting?
I had spotting with my last pregnancy for almost a month on and off. No idea why. I believe it started right around 7 or 8 weeks. He is now a healthy and happy 5 year old.

Re: We have to supplement :(
I know that is disappointing. I had to supplement with my last two, and honestly, they did great. And as I went back to work fulltime when they were 3 months, formula allowed dad to do some of the night feedings. While the recall is scary, I'm not sure that they have actually determined for sure tha...

Re: New father-to-be looking for info/advice
Hi Steve, I wish I had some concrete answers for you, but I don't. I think it is great that the doctor has upped the visits to once per week. While your wife probably doesn't fit into a diagnosis of PE at this point, she may move in that direction. Or, that incident may have been a stress induced "b...

Re: Gestational Hypertension/Pre-E
Sure feels like overkill, but in the grand scheme of your health and the health of your baby, that is ok! You are down to a few weeks regardless, right?

Re: Still Swollen and high blood pressure at 9 days postpart
If your doctor isn't aware of these symptoms, you really should go get yourself checked out. That said, my swelling lasted for a few weeks before it finally worked itself out of my system.

Re: Our HELLPer is 5!
Time really does fly by. My baby will turn 5 in about six weeks. It seems there is such a big jump from that 4 year old to 5 year old. We don't start them in kindergarten until 5 or 6 here in MN, so I am enjoying the last few months of his preschool years!

Re: Has anyone worked full time throughout their 2nd pregnan
Jumping in late, but I also worked fulltime up until the day I delivered my youngest. At that time I was working in social services and had public health right next door and they were able to monitor my bp for me throughout the day.

Re: BPs better when up??
Your bp is naturally going to fluctuate through out the day, so I wouldn't be too alarmed. Let your doc know. Sounds like you are doing awesome! It also sounds like you are really in tune to your body, so follow your instincts and know the signs and symptoms.

Awww, you made me cry. How I remember going through all of those things with you; shedding tears right along with you. Back then, there were less "online" worlds like facebook and blogs and this forum was a life line to many. I still believe it's a unique forum where you can get the facts, encourage...

Re: 2yr old Sleep Patterns
Hi Meg! Your post brought back memories. Believe me, in about 10 years you will be able to laugh about this as you try and drag her out of bed before noon. Not much help now, though, I know! My first daughter did the same thing after her baby sister was born, and we spiraled into a crazy sleep patte...
