Re: Downton Abbey
It hasn't aired here yet, but I've been following the buzz on Twitter and Facebook. I'm planning to watch it tomorrow morning while the kids are at school.

Re: My sister is in intensive care, I need your info/tips,pl
Hi, I had HELLP syndrome with my second child - and was in the ICU for 6 days. I started out with eclampsia (seizures), which was then diagnosed as HELLP. I also developed pneumonia and acute respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), as well as sepsis. The HELLP syndrome began improving after 2 days or ...

Looking for stories - Mom in ICU, preemie in NICU
I'm looking for people to include in a story for the November PF newsletter in honor of Prematurity Awareness Month. My own son and I were separated for 8 days following his birth. He was born in a hospital without a NICU and was transferred to another hospital. I stayed in the hospital where he was...

Re: I am new and have some questions :)

Re: What does it mean to be an "empowered patient"?
I am bad at this, but circumstances conspired to lead me down the path to firing my original OB. He delivered my first son and there were no major complications. I took him at his word and didn't ask many questions. I agreed to a c-section at 39 weeks because my son was breech and I had developed br...

Odd complications - eclampsia
Hi, I have a perhaps bizarre question, but curiosity is getting the best of me. I wonder if anyone experienced any of the same complications that I did as a result of my bout with preeclampsia/eclampsia/HELLP... I think both of these were the result of the seizures - I tore my right rotator cuff in ...

Re: Any Los Angeles PE and HELLP syndrome survivors?
I'm in the San Fernando Valley. Had HELLP syndrome with my second son in October 2006. I did the Promise Walk in San Diego last year, but am considering getting one going in the L.A. area.
