Re : post-partum high BPs, PIH during pregnancy

<t>No advice, but my experience.<br/> <br/> 1st pregnancy - it took me 16 weeks to get my BP back to normal and feel "right". I was on mediciaton that whole time - but I returned to work with no adverse affects after 6 weeks. (Not physically demanding job though)<br/> <br/> 2nd pregnancy - BP back t...

Re : 26 weeks and nervous about today's appointment

My BP was nuts POST delivery with my first, and Clonidine really helped a lot. Made the labetalol look like a sugar pill. Hopefully, you'll have the same effect from the Clonidine and it will keep you out of stroke territory.

Prayers coming your way!

Re : Severity of second PE

<t>My experience was very similar as far as time of onset, but I had much less swelling and no protein the second time. I "just" had high BP with the 2nd, and it was much better controlled b/c we knew going into it what might happen.<br/> <br/> Just my experience. Obviously, no one knows what will h...

Re : Albuterol inhaler tips & tricks?

<t>We have dealt a lot with the coughing fits and throwing up at night with my son. We did lots of different medications and nothing seemed to help him much except for liquid orapred. They don't like to give it very often, but my son took it probably 5 or more times each year. He is 5 now and probab...

Re : Does anyone take fish oil?

<t>I took a DHA supplement with my last pregnancy and still do while nursing. I will probably continue taking it after I finish nursing b/c of the health benefits for me. <br/> <br/> I was encouraged to take Expecta (don't know if I'm allowed to list a brand name, so moderators ** me out if you need...

Re : Afraid to try again...and confused

<t>I felt exactly the same way you do (also dealt with PP PE)and after deciding we definitely wanted another, I spoke to a peri. Then met with a couple of OB/Gyns and picked one that I knew would be proactive. I always say that getting pregnant with my daughter was literally facing my biggest fear!!...

Re : Does mild preeclampsia change delivery?

<t>I think I was considered "Mild" PE as well. I did bed rest for a short time before delivery and the only thing that was different about delivery for me (in relation to PE) was that I had to labor on my left side all day to keep my BP down.<br/> <br/> I was induced and delivered vaginally - my son...

Re : Question about weaning off labetalol

I was weaned in a similar fashion. I think that I went down to 100mg once a day and then to nothing.

Good luck!

Re : Question about subsequent pregnancies/delivery

<t>Mine planned from the start to induce at least a week early to try to avoid issues (at my insistence). Ultimately, I had a small rise in BP around 37 weeks, so I was told to take it easy for Thanksgiving weekend and we induced Monday night at 37w6d.<br/> <br/> My problems are much worse post part...
