MFM in Denver area?
Good morning ladies! Could any of you PM me your experiences with any MFMs in the area? I tried to get a referral to one during my last pregnancy since I was hypertensive at 8 weeks (after having pre-e during my first pregnancy) and had placenta previa; the first one I contacted said I wasn't high r...

Re : Preparing for bedrest-sex?
I was told no on my pregnancy with my son, I haven't asked with this pregnancy - although I was thinking today that I should call and ask if we should have sex Wednesday since we will be inducing on Thursday morning - just to help things along.

Re : THE headache
<t>You can have the headaches and visual disturbances without the BP spike. My doc sent me to an opthamalogist to determine whether my visual disturbances were due to vascular damage in my eyes, even though my BP was only around 140/90 then. (The visual disturbances were due to atypical migraines, n...

Re : ? about BP cuffs
<t>Whatever cuff/monitor you decide to go with, be sure to take it to your doctor's office to get the accuracy checked. The last three cuffs I purchased (including an Omron) were all inaccurate, and this included using the same size cuff at the doctor's office as the home monitors. I finally gave up...

Re : Flu and blood pressure
<t>I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow for another checkup. I'm not feeling as lousy today as I was over the weekend, but I'm still only at about 40%, so we'll see what she says. I've been waking up with a really really sore throat and feeling like my tongue, mouth, and throat are burned from the...

Re : Flu and blood pressure
<t>I've been drinking 48 ounces of decaf hot tea with honey a day, in addition to four 24-ounce bottles of water a day - so I don't think dehydration is the cause. It's not a pukey flu, it's an achey stuffed up head and cough flu. Although my appetite has gone almost completely away - even Godiva do...

Re : Questions........
<t>I am not a doctor! but here's what I know.<br/> <br/> I asked my doc about the heart pounding, she said it wasn't unusual - your blood volume has substantially increased, so your heart is having to work harder. (On a side note, when my BP was normal, I still felt my heart pounding. Once my BP sta...

Flu and blood pressure
<t>Anyone else have this happen?<br/> <br/> My sitting BP has been 140s/90s since right after Christmas. I got the flu two weeks ago (the doctor thinks it's two separate strains of flu contracted one after the other, since it shouldn't take two weeks to get over the flu, but he did the saline irriga...

I feel so evil
<t>So my three and a half year old son, after being afraid of the vacuum cleaner for practically his whole life, has fallen in LOVE with vacuuming. He REALLY wanted to vacuum today, but the den (where we spend most of our time) hasn't been clean enough to vacuum for quite some time. So I told him to...

Re : More ?'s on IUDs
<t>You don't have to have it put in during your period. <br/> <br/> A relative of my neighbor had an IUD and got pregnant - the baby was born holding the IUD in its hand. I think there will be horror stories about just about any method of birth control, especially one that has been around as long as...
